as the title says, I heard that storing my coins on trade wallets like Binance or Coinbase dangerous.

so which wallets you guys recommend?

Hardware wallet: e.a Trezor

For bitcoin, you can use Electrum as a software wallet on windows/mac.

for alternatives just search for "open-source cold wallet software/hardware" on google.

I've used Bread wallet for iOS. It's open source, so even if company goes bust, you still control the wallet

Wtih any app wallet you need to make sure it gives you the mnemonic key upon setup. if you dont have the keys you are screwed and dont actually own the wallet. Some that do this are:
- trust wallet
- Metamask
- rainbow
- safepal

all these are good and give you private keys upon signing up

I use BinGX , very good Wallet! Without fee with USDT/TRC20 , and on iOS you Can lock/unlock the Wallet with your Face ID

Use a hardware wallet, preferably opensource. If you are set on using a hotwallet I think exodus or trustwallet are pretty much as good as it gets.
