Please help! This is the push I need.

I have done some amateur web design stuff but compared to the basic templates anyone can find and the services anyone can use...I'm kinda screwed. I have been approached by a client that has quite a few businesses and websites that need to be created or regularly updated. I'm a very fast learner and I think in the long-run of it all I can really do this. However, he is hoping I can have the initial site done to show him what I can do within a week. I'm already 3 days in and I'm sweating. I don't know if I can really give him something to WOW him in that time. Thing is...there is no try, only do. I heard Richard Branson once say that if someone gives you an opportunity and you don't know how to do it...say yes and figure it out. So that's what I'm doing. ANY help would be so greatly appreciated. Any programs, any really great templates or tips. Anything. I have the opportunity to make a few hundred dollars this week with this and that would give me the push I need to really be able to contribute not only to this community but my knowledge base that will bring me closer to where I need to be to get out of this hole I'm in.

Yes, wordpress. I don't know any coding, thats the problem. But I learn fast and I want to learn a bunch of coding anyway so if I need to crash course it now so be it!

Well with WordPress you can get going without coding, to start you don't really need to worry about that. Just get your new client on board first

I second WordPress as the easiest to get started with & maintain. There are thousands of quality templates that let you get really close to any required design within a few clicks. No coding involved.

If not WP, and you know some HTML/CSS, there are also a lot of open source HTML5 templates out there for simpler sites.

Ssssh, your not supposed to say that, we're all brilliant, talented coders lol!

OP : buy templates and customize them for your customers. Eventually you'll get real good at it.

You have Divi or BeTheme which you can easly customize. They have their own visual builders.

Have a look at the Sahifa theme. Very easy to manipulate and I am sure it's here in the downloads section somewhere.

I'm similar to your position (Sweating).I use the Divi builder from Elegant Themes quick to learn and noy too difficult to master. ET have a great searchable help forum and there are a ton of freelancers who will do the CSS required (if you cant do it yourself) to go from great to wow. It will cost about $89 for a year, lifetime membership is best value though and there are often discounts. good luck
