just news blogging. AdSense approved me but
after two months I just have £1 (hahahah). I
wonder if there are ways to monetize a blog
e.g shouldn't I get revenue from just clicking
my articles rather than only the adverts?

You need to work on getting traffic and think about monetization later.

If you get 1000 views a day and "after two months I just have £1" than something is wrong.

There is a metric called "Page RPM". This is how much money you get for 1000 views. This number depends on your CTR (how many people click on the ads) and on how much money you get for each click (average CPC).

Numbers are different for different kind of websites. I have some websites with E3 RPM, but also with E15 RPM. So with 1000 views a day I would get between E 3 and E 15 a day.

You should look at your page... Are the ads displayed relevant for the subject of the page ? There are also many things you can do with colors, placement of the ads etc to increase CTR.

Is coding side of things fine? Maybe the ads do not appear to most people?

Are you using link ads or Text/Image?

For that you need to improve your traffic then only you can able to get more views.....
