Please Help me in Rebranding Gurus

Hello friends,

I made a website focusing on a single keyword bought EMD and i think i over optimized my site for that keyword. So to correct my previous mistake i started working on a new website in the same niche. The things that are confusing me are.

1) I want to publish the old articles on my new site (but as the old site was over-optimized I don't want the articles to be redirected to my new site as it may harm it...[Please correct me if i am wrong])

2)Is it ok to 301 redirect the whole site to the new one ?

3)Can i entirely delete the old site even de-index it from google .. Is it possible ?

My old site has ranked 1st for few small volume keywords.. And i also dont want to loose those traffic (50 person a day) is there any option that i should get both if not then i will accept it...

I have readed that already and done the proper research but problem arises that my old website is over-optimized and when i redirect it to my new site . it may hurt the new website.. So how can i avoid this ?

Why dont you just disavow whatever links you have 'over-optimized' your old site with and then do the 301 to the new content at the new domain? Do you have access to the old domain still?

Yes i have access to the old domain still , The problem is it is not over optimized with links it is overoptimized with the keywords (I think so) , i feeded the keyword in domain (EMD) , 4 articles exactly with that keyword (total i have 37 articles in website). more then 100+ Images with the keyword in images alt and description...

i think it is overoptimized because it was very very easy keyword but still i am not ranking for it at even top 30.. Thats why i thought may be its overoptimized.

Please share some lights here ,,, Or should i forget that domain and start working from the root AGAIN

If you still have access to the site, erase some of the on site optimization, and the just redirect the site to your new one. Bulk up on backlinks to dilute the backlink profile for the new site. Problem solved.

Should i do this Post By Post or just redirect the whole site.... Can i just copy and paste the article to my new site ??? Is it Safe Or will i get a penalty kick ??
