Hey brothers :)
Well , I am 18 years old and i just finished highschool
Actually I think im really good in internet marketing & I made some good money from fast methods etc. (~70k since I started , January)

Now im confused what to learn in university (not going to uni isn't an option!)
I love business , and i thought of learning it .. but high graduated ppl are telling me its only for people who are already have business and want to run :(

You might be thinking about the other option , computer science .. but i dont like coding & donkey stupid limited work lol

I heard there are places for learning "Internet marketing" should i go for it (i should learn outside my country then) ?? Or should I go and learn "marketing" at some university here in my country ??

PLEASE !!! Help me

Well if you have made 70k since january then you have a business (or so legally you should anyway).

So go study business!
Or study marketing!

Why on earth anyone would study internet marketing at a uni or school is beyond me... if you have already made money then you wouldn't waste time teaching it to others for a normal wage unless you were crazy.

Or else go and find something that just generally interests you that is not related to business or marketing etc and go for that (a mechanic course etc) and one that doesn't take up too much of your time!

but you got me wrong , im not going to TEACH anyone .. i meant going and study internet marketing at university or college
 
70k!, i mean, i wouldn't be worrying about schooling if i was pumping in that kinda dough on a regular basis.

If you're interests are in IM, then go for it, but if you have a burning desire to do anything else, don't take something that you will regret later on.

I or anybody else cant really tell you what you should do, its totally your call.
 
Business Administration

That's where they say (not fact) that there is the most jobs available.

I sort of believe it because it's so broad that there are tons of different markets in which you can start your profession.

Plus, if you want to start a business or something, Bachelors in Business Administration will help gaurantee a loan from a bank.


I'm dueling in a Bachelors in Business Administration and Business Management and plan on being a CPA also. If you have any questions regarding those career choices, let me know, i'll be more than happy to help.

go to college and go from there.... seriously your young and have a long way to go... don't skip college if possible...

u can always drop out later just like all the billionaires :)
 
congrats on your success!

most "internet marketing" courses in univ / college are pretty fluffy. By the time you've graduated, it's all obsolete.

IMHO BHW is a better learning area than most college IM courses.

my personal opinion:

take general business admin

do 1/3 your electives in comp sci (coding can be "donkey boring", however understanding the basics is essential)

do 1/3 of your electives in psych / sociology - it will teach you about people / how people think / how people react / why people do what they do

do 1/3 of your electives in philosophy / poli sci - it will teach you to understand purpose and reason
 
If you want to go to school, go to school.

I would take maybe 12 hours a semester and take an extra year. This should give you a good 20-30 hours a week to focus on marketing. Continue to make that type of money if you can.

It will be VERY hard to make 70K fresh out of college.

School is an amazing experience but don't think it will take up all your time.

No i meant the teachers!

If they actually knew anything other than what the text book told them about internet marketing then why would they be working for the government or whoever running a course?

Even if it was all outsourced they are still the manager and front man for all problems and making more money is then always on the table!

do something that will help you enrich life...something to help with people skills/healthy eating,cooking/communication skills etc

at least that is what i am doing
 
Business Administration departments are for those who want to go into corporate world. (I have an MBA) I don't know what you mean by "fast methods" but if you want success in Internet marketing and if you HAVE TO go to university, I would advise you get into a program where you get to have a lot of electives. Knowledge in basic marketing and advertising may help for positioning yourself in a more professional way; accounting may help with how you handle your money; and I understand that you may hate it but elementary knowledge of an object oriented language will help you even when you have others programming for you (you know what you ask for): get a class in PHP or something. Other than that, go crazy... learn Chinese, get into Film etc. All these will help you know more about people and markets and make you a well rounded person.

And make friends... Internet marketing can get lonely.
