Please help me assess linkbuilding strategy

Hey guys,

I am about to rank for a 1 900 exact match searches keyword in local language. I previously used the bronze link pyramid service by Aldis (http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...tiers-7-platforms-203-360-backlinks-27-a.html) and now my website is ranking on 23rd position on Google.

As for the competition, Traffic Travis says it is relatively easy and Google returns 602 000 results for that phrase. However on the competition list there are few websites that have backlinks from some strong local authority sites.

My linkbuilding so far has been the link pyramid by Aldis, a quality youtube video, several local directory submissions, 2 local Q&A sites and and several backlinks from my own local sites.

Now I know that you cannot say exactly what linkbuilding strategy will shoot my site to the top of Google, but do you generally think this linkbuilding will be +/- sufficient? I plan to do Tier 1 manually and Tier 2 by using spun articles and submission by Article Kevo.

You need High PR links from a blog network to beat those sites IMO. If not from a blog network then buy homepage,footer and sidebar high PR links. Basically, you need high PR links.
 
Thanks, BlackHat. I was afraid I would have to buy those homepage links. After analysing the competition in Majestic SEO, their top backlinks are from thematic magazines and only way to get a backlink is to buy a pricey PR article.

Just noticed your picture is missing blogger.com, I hope you didn't missed it actually. I think this strategy will work and if you keep your first tier links updated on regular basis, it will increase its effectiveness.

Homepage/footer/blogroll links might be overdoing it - I'm all for private network blogposts though, you can find some great networks in the BST here.

I did not include Blogger in the diagram since it is Googles service. Maybe I will include it when the first round of properties is built. Do you think I should be adding regular new posts on the tier 1 properties?
 
Whichever way you decide to bend your campaign, you WILL need a local (your) language links/blogs/comments/forum posts to rank well in that niche. Take it under advisement. English links wont get you all the way, they might help, but majority has to come from local stuff.

I originally thought so, but then I saw success reports in many the service sale threads, where the guys ranked local sites using their standard backlinking (= English ones).
 
Try with external links. Maybe some that are less comercial, and a bit more of information type, but within your theme.
 
Yes it will keep your first tier indexed and crawled.

So did I, but I rank my local [LV] sites and I found out that scrappy forum post with link weight more than 10 senuke campaigns...

Just do your math, you might get to do some links manually or start a local blog network just for your sites... that's what I did

So to update this thread: Recently I ordered 10 .edu blog posts package from http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-ranking-powerful-edu-links-grab-reviews.html
For the .edu backlinks I used only naked URL and generic phrases as an anchor text.

Moreover I started implenenting my strategy sketched in the diagram. My friend wrote high quality articles, so I made a video on Vimeo.com, a presentation on Slideshare.net, and a submission to StumbleUpon. I also made web 2.0 properties on Webnode.cz, Blog.cz and Wordpress.com. I backed up the webnode and blog with cca 20 Tier 2 backlinks by Article Kevo.

I will continue in similar spirit for next 2 weeks. Hope to see page 1 soon :)

Today my main keyword dropped from position 10 on Google to position 16. Do you think it might just be dancing?
 
So I have just finished the first round of linkbuilding. And would like to sum it up since someone could get inspiration for linkbuilding for a non-english websisite.

I outsourced these two services here (both of them were just basic ones):

Then I manually created 10 web 2.0 properties in my local language and all of them contain unique hand-written article (some of them 2 articles), link to wikipedia and my website and somewhere I included a Youtube video:

- Wordpress.com
- Livejournal.com
- Angelfire.com
- Blog.cz
- Weebly.com
- Jimdo.com
- Jigsy.com
- Webnode.cz
- SiteW.org
- Yola.com

Then I uploaded a video to:
- Youtube.com
- Vimeo.com
- 4shared.com (which does not allow backlink in the video description)

I created documents at:
- Slideshare.net
- PDFcast.org
- Sribd.com
- Box.com
- Doocu.com
- Docstoc.com

For social presence I created:
- LinkedIn profile
- Twitter profile
- Delicious share
- Stumble Upon share

And except for that I did several local backlinks from website directories and few local forum backlinks. I also cross exchanged backlinks with one of my competitors - he has bigger authority than me and I link to him and he links to me from one of his weaker sites. So I hope this will not hurt my rankinks. My website is still dancing but some days appears on position 9 or 10.
