Hi Pals,

I have had this sudden attack for some months now, one particular URL was massively attacked, I can see tons of gambling, foreign and prn website linking to it...

The sites are foreign languages and I can't find a way to contact them.... I have disavowed the domains in question and I equally deleted the article from my blog as it wasn't bringing traffic in the first place...

What other measures do you suggest? I was thinking of redirecting the affected page elsewhere.. What do you think..?

Any help, suggestion? Please......

I also have a lot of hol.es spam links to my sites, I disavowed it (or just igonore it), and my traffic was up on last Fred update. It's a bot who send backlinks everywhere, you shouldn't worry. But I don't know about your other spammer link. If someone intentionally hurt you by spamming backlink, it could hurt you.

just disavow it. Don't have personal experience so can't explain in detail. But there are many other cases where people have disavowed links and got their rankings restored. Did your SERP take a hit?

That's a relief, thanks a lot.

If you're not happy with disavow I suggest you 301 the link to Google.com

Looks like you are a victim of sabotage, or "google bowling" .. Most likely an Xrummer blast. There's not much you can do about it except building quality backlinks that will counter this attack. The disavow links is also an option but it might take a while considering the number of bad links.
