Please help I'm having backlink issues

I've used backlink submitters, posted on my URL on forums and add my url to DMOZ all over the past 3-4 weeks and I don't have 1 single backlink.

What am I doing wrong? Or should I just be more patient?

It's frustrating cuz everyone talks about quick backlinks and I haven't seen it yet.

Sorry to hear that you aren't seeing your backlinks yet. How are you trying to find them? Google, Yahoo site explorer or some program like SEO elite? Yahoo seems to be the best when I look for my backlinks, Google isn't ever going to show many.

I would suggest that when you create a backlink, ping the URL and if it has an RSS feed, ping that as well. That is the secret to getting your backlinks noticed by the search engines that most people leave out when they talk about quick backlinks. I use pingomatic, but there are lots of ping services that are just as good.

Just keep building backlinks, you never know how long it will take for the search engine spiders to find your links and index them.

If you use Firefox, this trick will speed up your pinging. Create a new bookmark, open up the properties and in the "Location" field paste this text
and save the bookmark.

When you are on a site you want to ping, just click on the bookma. It will load the current URL into Pingomatic and ping the site. Hit the back button and open the site RSS feed and ping it if it has one.

I never see anyone listing Pingler lol

The reason may be your not seeing any backlink coz you may be not typing in your URL correctly. For instance this tool needs your exact URL to type in, that is if you have made backlinks using hxxp://--- and not hxxp://wwwhttp://www[dot]--- you will be able to watch links only in the format hxxp://--- not the other.

Remember even Google or any search engines consider the 2 format of URL different when ranking.
