Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me here. First of all I've contacted Hostgator with this problem and they say the problem is on my end. Perhaps my ISP or firewall is blocking my cpanel AND whm ports.

I am getting the "Page not Found" message when trying to access my cpanels for all my sites and my WHM for my main domain.

domain.com/cpanel (doesnt work)
domain.com:2802 (doesnt work)
cpanel.domain.com (works for some, not for others)
IPADDRESS/cpanel (doesnt work)

I've tried:
Disabling my firewall (does nothing)
Tried on all browsers and cleared my cache (does nothing)
Tried on another computer (does nothing)

My partner who lives down the street from me CAN access the cpanels and WHM at his house. Hostgator can access them too. So the problem is obviously on my end.

Can anyone knowledgeable on this please help me!!???

Thanks,
-Peter

Could possibly be something with your isp how long have you had this problem?

Just started last night...thats the strange part.

Yeah we had a similar problem here ended up being our cable provider. I would give it a few hours and see if it clears up.

have you adjusted your hosts file recently?

(perhaps maybe when moving a webpage over before the DNS servers were properly directed to your site.......)

on the phone with my isp and they say they are not blocking any ports. Nobody knows what is going on...not sure where to turn now?? This is crazy.

No I haven't. This problem occurs with every website that I own...

Thats strange then only other things i can think of I'm sure you've tried

If your behind a proxy disable it and see if you can view it then may have a blocked proxy.

Try a system restore to the previous date of when you could access cpanel.. Yesterday morning or weds.

Try a reboot of your modem and pc. Also if your behind a router and tweaked the settings try and restore back to default settings.

Perhaps you just need to wait for 30 minutes with NO activity...i.e. not trying to log in etc..., and then try to "unblock my IP" from the support desk at hostg.

System restore aint realy a solution... have used it many times and 90% of the usage no results in many causes not just one like this

have you tried the non-standard SSL ports?

Ie, :2087 instead of 2086

Ok guys...I have finally resolved this. Not sue why it worked but this is what I did:

1: Restarted PC
2: Rebooted Modem

Issue solved. Was it really that simple? lol

Thank you all who replied and tried helping me. This is why I love this forum. You guys are awesome. ;)

Most likely, every one of us learn something with this problems and solutions

Yes, it is as simple as rebooting your modem. I had a similar problem with CPanel in the past also.
The problem started when I forgot the password to a domain and tried to log into CPanel too many the times with the wrong info. After too many unsuccessful attempts, my IP was blocked from accessing my sites. Also explains why the neighboor down the street could access it when you couldn't
Rebooting the cable modem gave me a new IP address and every thing worked fine again.
