Please Help: 4 Questions Regarding Outreach / Guest Blogging

I'm trying to keep this short:

1. If I want to get 10 links from 10 different websites by guest posting on them, I have to "create" 10 different personas, so it appears that each of the post was written by another person, correct?

2. If I use the same persona twice or more, that would be a footprint, because I link out to my own site in each post, correct?

OR

3. Do you reach out to each blog as "yourself" and then you end up with 10 links all placed in the byline and maybe in the content, too?

4. Will there be any SEO benefit doing 3.? Easy to detect by Google. Of course, you get referral traffic etc., but I wonder what it will do in terms of rankings...

You have to provide 100% original content for each one. It doesn't matter if you use the same persona.

Google will not see this as manual link building and penalize it / ignore?

Keep the same persona on each site. There's no reason not to. Since you're writing the content, you can place links within the article itself. However, keep in mind that the site owner may not allow that and only let you have a bio link.

Hi everyone, just chiming my experience....

I am a Lifehack.org author and yes I have been selling links before. But I stopped it when some 15yr old kid trash me out on his FB that this thing is a footprint. I did not know that he's been trashing my particular service even to his wall (I know this is obvious jealousy). But now that I actually and manually reaching out to bloggers to do guest posting, what I did is I do have 5 different personas all being recycled and re-used and I am getting positive results, regardless of the so-called footprint.

The thing is, when Google says something, we should, in fact, question it, dig deeper, instead of getting scared and paranoid all the time. They let out "misinformation" to scare SEO people. If they say something don't work anymore, the truth of the matter is, it IS WORKING.

Since, these are 10 different sites no need to create 10 different person.

If I use the same persona twice or more, that would be a footprint, because I link out to my own site in each post, correct?

It's up to you. You can also create different person or use same person, twice or thrice it would not be a problem.
