So, I started working in January 2023 and managed their internal website. The Plan was to delete the old website and get a new one (WP) with new pages and a proper SEO structure.

Five months have passed, but there is no ranking. We had 20 keywords on 1st page in March, but now even those aren't ranking. What could be the reason?

We have literally 0 keywords in rank, and I am clueless. I know that a few pages' content is low, and I need to get it done. But the city pages (ABC in city etc.) were ranking earlier.

I have no answers to give and feel lost, tbh.

Please guide me. I don't want to lose my job.

I didn't ask for research. Basically, what could've possibly hit me.
Sounds like Google updates messed up your site
Even I think so. I used some AI generated articles for guest posting, web2.0 and all (not on money site). Can that be an issue? I am confused in this.

Yes, I have started complex research. Most of the competitors have significantly fewer backlinks than us. This is killing me.

The sudden drop in keyword rankings could be due to many factors like changes in search algorithms, lack of high-quality content, technical issues, or ineffective SEO strategies. Analyze these issues to improve rankings.

Check you keywords competition and KD
create backlinks with using targeted key words and proper internal linking.

Then with proper onpage SEO and fewer backlinks you can start ranking for your keywords.

By changing into a new domain what kind of domain you have expired or new domain and have you redirected all the stats from the old website, and the articles you have uploaded to the website are same as the old website whether you have edited it or posted a new unique content

If the keywords lost rankings means now build backlinks with Long tail kws with that keyword so it get some changes

And once again submit sitemap for the whole website and if possible re work with the articles with good keyword relevancy for your niche

While building links choose the kws wisely compared to your competitors and your niche market

Thanks for the advice. I am working on this.

sounds like a bunch of backlinks got "disavowed" or in other words de-valued. just look at who is ranking for your keywords now and look into their backlinks with ahrefs or other tools and try to get backlinks from those same sites.

Your website is fast enough or have an active SSL? Google sometimes kick slow and non-SSL websites too.
