Please Guide me iam purchasing a New Computer

The price is just great for that configuration. What other guidance do you need?

Good price. Depending on what your using it for, you might get a ram upgrade and hard drive.

What's your highest budget? If you have a higher budget then I'd recommending getting a computer with an i7 Processor. I bought a new laptop 4 days ago with the following specs. for $850:

i7 Quad Core Processor
16 GB of Ram
2 Terabyte Hard Drive
NVidia Graphics Card with 2GB of Memory

If you can afford it, you should look at getting something along these lines. My new laptop is blazing fast and it's amazing how much quicker you can get IM work done with a quick computer! :)

you got a killer deal btw what company?

Woah, that's cheap.
I'm always wary of "cheap" deals though.

I recently switched to Mac and it's literally changed my life- makes my job so much easier.

iam looking for Desktop Workstation Machine for 2-4 physical processors

my budget is maximum $400

the machine which o discussed above xw6600 have two physical processes of xeon quad core with total of 8 cores and 12 mb cache to each physical processors means total of 24mb cache, core i7 has 12 mb cache only, so in compare to i7 this xw6600 machine will be fast working and cheap too.

An i3 cpu would be more than enough imo, 8 gigs of ram, a ssd, and you're good to go.

Depends what you're using it for, just IM? As in article writing, web surfing, and a bit of coding? Then that is actually a pretty decent price for those specs. If you're going to be running tools, I would suggest you upgrade to 6-8GB RAM, which is an extra 50-80 bucks. You won't be needing a gfx card if you're not going to be gaming or photo/video editing.

a little server you chose, not the newest one, but more than enough for im... ^^

btw, ssd is a must!

This actually a great deal mate, 260$ for that configuration is almost a steal . Where did you find this deal ?

Intel Xeon processor is a premium processor, mainly design for high traffic web servers . Not the main stream i5/i7.

It really depends on which Xeon processors they are giving. These processors don't come cheap.

never thought i would see a what computer should i buy thread on BHW let alone in the SEO tools section lol

I got this deal in karachi, i will get this system next week, i will use jingling on it, i have 2 mb internet connection.

CPU:
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Xeon+E5450+@+3.00GHz
This CPU power will be similar to new i3 - it costs ~$125 or something like that

Motherboard - for $100 you can get good budget mobo.

Ram - $40 for 4 gig ddr3

PSU - $100 for good PSU like seasonic.

Total - $365 (it can be lower if you buy cheaper PSU and mobo) for new PC (there wont be any problems if you want to upgrade it after few years)

vs

$260 for old used server - you should think about it. Its 3-4 years old server and it was running 24/7 so it can crash after few months and noone will give you money back.
