I have some good keywords but I don't want to write the article for all keyword of the main keyword, for example - best shoes for runners under $100

Secondary keywords - best shoes for sports, shoes for sports under 100, and so on

What is the way to write the content to get the article ranked on multiple keywords?

I hope u understand what I am saying.

The kws you are mentioning are all synonymous, just by making an article for one kw, the others will appear.

If you want to be more relaxed, put the kws synonyms in H2 or in a paragraph where it deserves it.

Edit: now that I think about it, best shoes for sport is not a synonym, it is "similar" and what I would do would be to make an article with that kw and mention a certain amount of sports.

Example:

Best shoes for basketball
Best shoe for gym
Best climbing shoe
Best shoe for jumping rope (lol, hope you get the point.)

Put in URL and title, Header and tag also. content also need to cover that. I also recomend internal linking for these keyword

Write a long article and try to add your keywords in heading and subheading.

Build backlinks to that target content and make keyword as anchor text

I can also use shoes synonymous, so adding such words in long article, is google detect those as multiple keywords, sometimes it is hard to find lsi keywords for some topics.

This is what I am doing, due to few pages and I've multi-niche website, so adding internal linking to other irrelevant pages are not good?

Add the backlinks for those target keyword along with long lsi and long tail keywords. it will help you to ranking your target keyword

I see most of my competitors doesn't have backlinks but still, they are in the top 5, to find LSI is the bold words when google shows in search engine meta description?

Write a long article and try to add your keywords in heading and subheading.

Ya, I am doing that, I need to add keywords between the article.

Optimize the page with these keywords in the heading tag. If you have special inner pages for those keywords, link them in the homepage. It's one of the better way to optimize the keyword.

if so, I would put something like this in the meta title and spread all relevant keywords in the headings.
"best shoes for runners, sports, gym, etc under 100"

@myfault - as you can see from other responses, all point to you writing a single article that covers your similar keywords. this is the key. don't get tempted to write 2 different articles to rank for similar keywords. it will backfire. google won't know which one to rank and you will have a very hard time getting to the number 1 spot, when you have competing pages.

Don’t go for different articles as it split up relevancy and all ure toil end up in vain.

Just go for the best keyword suggestions (among yours) using ubersuggest (i suggest) and
start writing article focusing the main keyword and arranging others as sub / synonymous keywords in the article wherever possible But be cautious – about KW stuffing.

Good luck :)

Its up to google to test the similar phrase and keywords to what people already find you for, and then rank you similar.

The best way to get good results is to build a series of articles around a topic, and interlink each of them with a varying perspective and keyword focus.

Most of my number 1-3's are when I have done similar to this. Although what I also found is sometimes you can even rank top for keywords you didn't think you would either. lol

Best is to focus on 1 particular keyword and creating the content. You can add other related keywords in addition as well. In your case you can use 'shoes for sports' in the link, topic and in the places that there's only a limited spaces to be fare with all the chosen keywords. You can be flexible with the keyword choices in the main content.

You can write a longer article stuffing as many keywords as you want, both within the text and the headings.

Being in the slug is a thing (demonstrated), but since you won't be able to put just every single keyword in the URL then you will have to bare with what you have
Don't forget that you can also throw some contextual links with each of the keywords you are trying to rank for this kind of articles

And over the top: if you find gold in certain sub-keyword, despite the main never go higher, don't hesitate to move it forward (not only in H2 but H1, in the meta title and description), but don't change the slug.
Sometimes the intent is difficult to be satisfied. For example: certain keywords require ecommerce results, not comparison/informational articles. Others will rank better with loads of images/comparison informational content

What if the keywords are transactional then how it gets interlinked?

How do you determine whether they are synonymous or just similar?

  • include each of the keywords in the h2 & h1 titles
  • main keyword in the meta title
  • include each of the keywords at the top & bottom of the page and in the body
  • get good links with each of these keywords used as anchor

Hi guys have a happy sunday!

I not understand the concept of having multiple keywords, ok on a long form pillar page.
Otherwise it makes more sense to rank for each keyword like category page and subtopics.

When you have a blog with multiple similar topics then use a category page with borad keyword, then subtopics (long tail) then doing blogging for each subtopic.

With this you should claim multiple seo positions , that means on a topic like media then multiple listings with similar subtopics will coming up in the serps. This is sort of seo domination.
This is my understanding of the new google seo features, correct me if I wrong there.

Hi today and a little update to this topic;

as example Tiffany website has great category pages who ranking multiple times on google page one, on one domain.

type in google this; tiffany rings

and then the first 3-4 search results will be paid ads, below the images block, then there are coming up more pages;

https://www.tiffany.com › jewelry › shop › mens-rings
https://www.tiffany.com › jewelry › shop › sterling-silver
https://www.tiffany.com › jewelry › shop › rings › gold
https://www.tiffany.com › jewelry › shop › tiffany-t

these are different category pages better; the subtopics of the rings category page, this is a great way to claim multiple seo spots in google on one domain.

Tiffany has one broad term category = rings then some multiple subtopics (pages) like gold rings, mens-rings, ec,etc you see the links above.

Maybe you can call this a silo structure too? I be not sure how to build that in worpress,I think using the embedded tabs menu plugin to build like this.

When you not have a ecommerce site but a blog with multiple similar topics the I think best way to build this will be using embedded tabs menu plugin.
Design you category page, embedd subtopics menu, each subtopic is a page with a block of blog posts.
Adding embedded subtopics tabs into category page ha smore seo value than build a boring main nav dropdown menu.

Using good seo description for all your subtopics on the main category page like 500-1200 words. (byrdie is doing this) then index the categories and posts, do that with the sitemap too.

Or you can use the whole category page at beginning some summary. Then in the page body something like 300 words summary for each subtopic with link. (link to your subtopic blog posts)

I think with this you should get a good seo ranking / multiple seo spots ranking on one domain without need multiple domains, the choice is yours.

You can use a shortcut way like this in main navigation:

Gold rings- Mens rings-Sterling-rings- Diamond- rings each of these subtopics are pages with good seo summary text at the beginning, then at there your related bock of blog posts you can doing this with gutenberg blocks.

Then after the first summary text adding some google EAT and outgoing links - I think with this you will gain more google trust and organic traffic you will become an authority.....

Then you should rank each of these pages in google seo, but I read that google is preferred to ranking category pages over normal pages?
I can't explain, it's not logic for me, many things are not logical what google is doing today or what John Mueller say or what Mad Cutts say, the things they told us are often contrary to what google says. (so it does looks for me)

Check it in Bing search ,they now have added new seo features too in search results.
