If you are moping around, that tells me that you don't know why you are doing what you are doing. Yes you want to make more money, much more, but to what end? The problem is "more money" is nebulous, unfocused. What is it you want? A new house for you, or your mother? The ability to take a two-week trip to Las Vegas?

I was in the paratroops, then business management, now teaching and IM. When people know why they are doing something, want it and believe in it then there is nothing they will not do to get it, and there is no boundaries to how much they succeed. Messi? Kobe? Great athletes for sure but they are also by far the most driven - putting in ungodly off-season workouts, in for practice an hour before others and then doing another hour after everybody else. They are driven by what they want to achieve and accomplish.

That is why so many great prospects get a taste of the good life then never reach their potential. They get comfortable with the life and no longer put in the extra time and effort to keep getting better.

You've got new plans to do - but they are not enough to motivate you, to excite you - they are not good goals. So what is it that would excite you?

Sorry to preach, but I am an old fart and a teacher by nature so when I get started I seldom stop.

Find a goal that excites you and you'll find the fire again.
