    Hi,

I just launched my website and the next week I'll upload a new version. I want to know if I'm implementing the in-Site SEO the right way (so I make changes). I know little about SEO, so here's my essay

    link: http://onlineqrlab.com

    google search: http://www.google.com/search?num=10...=qrcode+generator&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=

You'll find me on the bottom, Google display the description I put in the Meta-Tag

What do you think? Is it good, bad, wrong, right? Will appreciate any feedback.

It depends on what your keyword targeting is.

If it's "QrCode", then I'd mention it a few more times like:

OnlineQrLab is an online web application to generate and decode QrCode images. QrCode can be confusing to use, but our OnlineQrLab's QrCode Generation allows easy use.

    Something like that.

Overall I think you are going to struggle without some more text on the page. I've sure you have heard the phrase "content is king". In your case you have some from of web 2.0 application, but no real explanation of what it is or any real text for google to read to work out what your page is about.

Remember google ranks pages not web applications, and there is so little text on the page that google will pretty much see it as a "nothing" page and move on.

Adding a good introductory paragraph at the start describing what your tool is in 3-5 sentences would be a good start. Then below the tool, put in some more text about it (making sure you include phrases with keywords you want to rank for, but don't make it sound spammy). Google will then have some text to read so it knows what the page is about.

Remember, while in some ways Google is unbelievably clever, in other ways it's not as clever as an average human at looking at a site and finding out what it's REALLY about. I (as a not completely stupid human, but someone not familar with what QrCode actually is) can't really work out what your page is about because of no descriptive text, what chance does Google have? (none...to answer my own rhetorical question!).

This is a starting point, but there is still a lot more to do.

    Matt

I think look wise it will be better once you upload a new version.
Try adding more content. get in your H1 tags and a good description and title.
and yes most important- search and research and then research for good keywords. :)

Thanks for your detailed answer. My competitor is using no tags, no content and ranking 4-5 for the "qrcode". It got lot of backlinks, so I think backlinks are also important (or may be there is something else?).

What's a lot more to do?
