Please explain this too me

I been deleting some of my "facebook friends" because all I see is them posting their Shopify stats making 100K, 200K a month etc. Why don't anybody show a breakdown of their cog's, operating expenses, advertising & marketing and merchant fees! Some of these people are not selling courses so it's bragging rights I guess for newbies.

I been self employed for not long but I would NEVER fall into these "gurus" selling courses showing their student making 100K a month in only 3 months.

Are their benefits being self employed making 200K gross a year and when it's all said and done you only net 40K a year? What if I made 1 million a year and net 40K a year...what is the benefit of gross revenue?

Nobody can answer that question every store is different. Some make billions some make zero.

Your other question about turnover. A company that makes $40k on $1 million has more scope for improvement than if turnover is $200k. That makes it more attractive to buy or easier for you to increase profit.

Thanks. So being self employed GROSS doesn't mean anything for banks or any kind of loans like when I had a 9-5... I got loans based on my gross which obviously wasn't know where what I made a year net. Love being my own boss but what is the benefits financially?

Financially, the advantage of being your own boss is you have no salary cap. The disadvantage is just turning up does not mean you get paid like in a 9-5. So what you do in that time you keep 100% of. But being self employed it is harder to get a loan until you can show a track record.
