Please explain "Karma" debate

So people who believe in karma but don't believe in God or religion
don't really make any sense. Karma, as an ideal, is a very noble system.
The idea that it encourages you to do good to others because then you'll
have good karma come back to you one day.

And conversely, discourage you from doing bad, because then bad karma will
come back to you someday.

First, you'd have to define what is "good" and what is "bad". Second, by claiming
that you believe in something like "karma" means that you believe in some sort of
power/spirit/God/religious theme.

There is difference between doing something actually WRONG and not doing something
good you should do. The two are not the same, but according to belief in karma, they
are the same. Humans are very contradictory and hypocritical.

Here's an example of something you do WRONG
-you steal from someone; you burn someone's house down; you destroyed someone career
by gossiping etc

Here's and example of not doing the GOOD you ought to do:
-you see an old lady crossing the street by herself but you don't help her cross the street and
just walk on by (so you just created bad karma for yourself? One day you'll need help crossing
the street and no one will help you? is that you mean?)
-you see garbage on the floor and you should pick it up and put in the trash even though it's not
your garbage. You ignore and think someone else will do it. Bad karma? It's gonna come back
and get you now?

Good. I don't want anyone to talk about religion. Just asking about Karma because is that really a legitimate excuse to use
in business? I have a situation where someone purchases something from me. I suspected the person as being a possible
red flag scammer. I asked for more shipping information/confirmation and they never responded back to me. I withheld shipping
it until I received enough information. Months have passed and the buyer has not contacted me ever about the order they made.
I don't know why, and I don't really want to know why. Is that such a bad thing? So all of a sudden I'm being fed moral lessons
about "karma". How is that bad? If the buyer wants his/her money back, they would contact me and ask and I would FULLY REFUND
them. But they haven't asked. So how is this "bad karma" going to come back to me one day? I find that reasoning very silly
because in life we all have good and bad thing happen to us and it's not because of karma. We just attribute it to that reason.

In every transaction in the business world, then i suppose everyone is building up bad karma by driving up the prices or low balling
or getting a steal of a deal at the expense of a naive client? I don't understand how that is not considered bad karma, too?

Someone please explain.

also, what about the "I didn't know" reason? If someone didn't know something and you took advantage of it, is that bad karma?
If a police officer pulls you over for speeding (doing 70 in a 60 zone) and you honestly didn't know, should that reason alone get you off the hook from the officer? If the officer decides not to show leniency and tickets you, is that bad karma on officer for taking advantage of someone who "didn't know"? Then you 'd say, well it's the driver's responsibility to know the law. Driving is a right, not a privilege. So isn't it also the responsibility of the buyer to be accountable when they order something?

All I know is that Karma is a fucking cunt and I wouldn't mess with it.

Karma is not some kind of entity or force that exists like the three letter word we are not allowed to say in here. I think most of you think of it that way. Rather, karma is simply another way of saying actions --> consequences. Every action has consequences. It doesn't mean the consequences are good or bad. It's just a reaction to an action. Nothing could be the reaction or something could be the reaction.

It seems most people think of karma as some pre-determinant of our future. Example, "if you steal something from someone, than you will have something stolen from you". That is false understanding of karma.

If you treated a person really awfully 15 years ago, that doesn't mean someone is going to treat you awfully today. It is more accurate that you would be treated awfully today because you have an awful attitude/personality. That would explain more likely why you are being treated awfully, not because you treated someone that way 15 years ago.

All things depend on your subconscious mind, There are some universal laws like law of attraction. if you think bad you will attract bad as same the way for good. sub conscious mind is the unknown power weapon in our lives because in our life time 90% of things (Beliefs, Emotions, Habits, Imaginations ) are done under subconscious mind only. I believe in Karma and karma is also called as subconscious tendencies. If you dont get i can explain even more.

I agree. It reminds me of the saying, "The quality of your questions determine the quality of your life." (meaning, what we focus on and how we perceive things)

Yeah when you do good things, Karma doesn't mind really and leaves you alone, but it is when you have the idea of doing bad things that you find out that your last bitchy girlfriend was much more tolerable.

If this is about your other thread OP, then the bottom line is treat people how you want to be treated.

It is nothing more than a moral advice.

A way of living life, well being etc.

People think of it as a magical jury system.
