Please enlighten me about sneakers niche?

Well, I am more curious than in fact willing to start any sneakers business, but every now and then I see people looking for a bot to autobuy on Adidas and alike websites and it turns like they're after limited editions such as Yeezy Boost. I never wasn't into fashion but probably there are people who will buy them at higher prices (some say even 2-3x of the original price) and here my questions are started.

1) Such an autocheckout bot is pretty simple to make, so there are already tens of thousands of people who have them. So buying a pair of sneakers is a matter of fortune right? If they're so limited and there are all of those fuckers after them you will buy maybe one per out of 100 trials.
2) Is that only for the USA? So if you're not there you're out of luck and cannot get into this game? or reshipping websites still work for this?
3) Why people need proxies to do the job? I mean, buying shoes isn't something the store don't want you to do, that is their main goal apparently so why are there sneaker proxy packages? I've seen a thread here on BHW with that exact question but I still am not sure why one needs any proxy to buy himself some sneakers?

1. Yes, its pretty much luck. Resellers have many bots running on each sneaker release.

2. You can buy the sneakers from anywhere I believe, then you sell them on ebay or something.

3. You can only buy 1 pair per IP on limited & popular releases.

So you mean every seller starts a bunch of bots who look after buying every pair of sneakers? That gets even more saturated cause every re-seller infact can run unlimited number of bots, e.g. 1k bot instances or even more.

Okay now the proxy thing is clear, but it is still unclear how on earth any one still buys those sneakers.

Yes, sellers have xx-xxx bots running to buy a pair of sneakers. If it's a popular release each pair they re-sell will be at least $150 profit.

People buy the sneakers for a lot of reasons, some like them, some just want to look cool with new sneakers, some are hypebeast and get the sneakers because that particular sneaker is popular, and some people it's just part of their culture.

I fell into the sneaker trap when I first started making my own money. Spent over 1k on about 6 pair of Jordans and Nikes in 1 year, one pair cost me $350 (White Nike Supreme Air Force 1's).

I only wore them maybe 1 time each over the last 2 years.

Its cool when sneakerheads complement you on your sneakers but the average person won't give a fuck.

Been browsing this forum for a while, but I'm also in the fashion game, feel free to hit me up if you have any questions, I own bots I run often for different drops. Yeezy's are insane money, can make $1k plus a pair, but also insanely hard. Even with the best bots available to the public, you don't have a very good chance.
