When Skynet finally takes over the world, I can be their "human friend". The benefits of saying "thanks" outweigh the "water crisis" for me.
 
I'm always very polite when I chat with AI, in the hope that once they take over the world, they'll be able to access my chat logs and be mercy to me.
 
There was a debate on Bluesky yesterday about whether the word 'clanker' is a slur against AI and how AI might use it against us in the future when it's figuring out whether our insurance claims should be accepted.

So watch out, @Panther28, you ain't getting that payout if someone rams into the back of your Nissan.
 
I read somewhere that he still says please and thank you to AI so when they finally take over they can remember that he's nice to them.

Not at all dude. For example will you say thanks to your car or bike once you reached your destination? Always keep in mind that its not a Living Beings
