Please clarify this SEO question

If you know SEO can you make lots of money online?

I always here SEO is very important to generate traffic

Lets say, you what to do Ecommerce, CPA or AF and you apply the SEO knowlege that you know, can you DEFINITELY make good money?

This is always a million dollar question to me because why would someone who is good at SEO work for a certain individual or a company which pays him a certain amount if he can make good money by doing it by himself

Am i missing something?

Yes.

Why do you assume that people who do SEO do not have sites they also rank to make money.

It is also easy to do SEO and outsource the work from people who know less. Outsource several different tasks that will help make websites rank, and take a cut of the money paid by the customer.

I am talking here about make 6 or 7 digits in a year.

I have a friend in the Philippines who owns an IT company and I am pretty sure that the people who work for him do not have their own online business coz if they do, why would they work in there full time? Yep they do SEO for his clients.

I know people personally who conducts SEO seminar who are not millionaires either.

Why is this? if you know SEO, you should be well off right and just work for yourself to make millions online? and not waste your time working for somebody else

Because the people you are talking about don't know SEO. They are charlatans selling shit to the gullible. But obviously there are people who do do SEO and sell it, but I am sure they will all have their own sidelines making money through affiliate marketing.
 
The answer is YES :P I don`t sell SEO packages (not yet, at least..) but I do make money from SEO and can understand people that would sell just SEO services and nothing else. If you know what you're doing, you will have to have a few websites built and tested to be sure that the services you offer are reliable. But people that sell just their SEO services don`t need the hassle of owning products, keeping inventory and additional workers and just settle for the SEO commissions, that aren`t small, I can tell you that.. :) So don`t think that just because someone is selling his SEO knowledge, it means he`s a charlatan :) Anyhow, I`m the second type, I use my knowledge for myself for now :)
 
Yep thats what I thought

If you know SEO why work full time for an IT company right? or conduct a seminar but you are not an internet millionaire

Correct me if i am wrong...

If you know SEO, you can surely make a living online. You make 6-7 figures in a year just by working on your own home.
 
alright buddy since you are claiming that you do SEO then I have a few questions for you

1. would you work full time for a company or an individual?

2. how much have you made online? and do you think you can reach 6-7 figures in 2 years time?

3. would you offer your SEO services one day or just focus on selling products online and apply your SEO knowledge?
 
People that work for SEO firms aren`t the ones making money from them. I frequently hire VAs and workers for small repeated tasks. Those are the people that work full time for an IT firm :) they hardly know what they`re doing without proper management.. The man behind an SEO firm is the one that can bank the 6-7 figures and the one that really knows SEO :)

how about the people on Fiverr who is offering their service for $200. if you are good why $200 only right? and why waste your time for $200 if you can make more than that doing ecommerce or affiliate marketing right?

Because it is a side line, and easy to target and market on forums. Whereas making a site and ranking it can take longer.

if an SEO company works for big companies, is that a surefire that they are good on what they are doing?

Sure fire? Well I would say anyone ranking for seo, seo company ...ect are sure fire.
 
I`ll tell you how I do it.. again, not for clients but for me. I work with a lot of people that know either to build professional Web2.0s or know how to outreach for guest posts or know how to build real looking backlinks.. but I never hire someone for the full picture. I never reveal the full ranking plan that I use. And I don`t say it is a perfect plan but it works. so if I`d sell my SEO packages, even if I do work with professional people, tbhey might never know the full efforts I make to rank client's websites
 
Sometimes people want a stable job, so a good SEO may in fact work for a company...he just wants a stable income for his family.

Or you can go full Maverick and shoot the opportunities on your own, lose some, win some.

Being ina a company does not mean the person is not a good SEO, it means they just want stability an a regular job. Not every good SEO wants to actually sit down and run his own promotions.

can i start this from scratch or just hire VA right away?
 
Of course if you know SEO you can make money. Once you know SEO you just have to find that gold mine niche. It's like you're a "cyber miner" lol!

so a newbie like me can not hire VA right away for SEO because I do not know what i need them to do. lol

so should i learn to do seo first?
