Hey guys, I'd really appreciate it if you could answer these questions that have been driving me nuts.

1. If you are promoting an offer that allows email campaigns, then is there any point of blanking/faking the referrer if you are getting your leads through email?

2. Will this setup likely raise any red flags? URL Shortener > Site With Javascript Redirect > Offer? (I mean, it would basically be like pointing the link on your landing page to the site with the redirect, right?)

That's all, but if you could provide me with any better substitutions for the above that would be fantastic as well. :)

Depends on what your leads are like. Are they harvested or legit?

Use phantomlinkcloaker to cloak your links.

No, this wouldn't raise any flags as cpa companies actually want you to do this so it protects their butts as well.

HONKEYHAM, does that matter? Don't understand how your affiliate manager would find out. Briefly, what does Phantom Link Cloaker do? Thanks.

The main idea ... may be it's better to protect your sources of traffic (JV redirecting/ cloacking...).

So, next time you'll not get any problems with spamming issues or with whitehat/blackhat methods, and you'll be able to tell your aff. manager what you want about your traffic sources.. from PPC, from email, from WC ... etc.

pitchblack, yes, I'm promoting via email. (But to people that responded to an ad from CL.) I guess as long as nobody complains or they don't ask anyone then I should be good. Though I'll probably get a tracking202 account to be on the safe side.

When using that setup the referrer simply shows as the site with the JavaScript redirect. (Here's the redirect I use: http://www.tizag.com/javascriptT/javascriptredirect.php)

sddk, do the ways I mentioned above protect my sources of traffic?
