Hello, people,

I've never used proxies, but I've studied them. Still, got several Beginner questions.

Do I understand correctly?: Some proxy companies do hide my real IP, while others do not hide it.
Some companies include the X-forwarded-for header, and others do not. Is that header optional?
I've read that my real IP can be found, even when connected thru Tor or a VPN.
Is there any way to be Sure that my real IP is Not Revealed when connecting thru a proxy?
Maybe a certain type of proxy? (Backconnect?)

How/why do you talk about "multiple threads"? I read the Wikipedia link:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multithreading_(computer_architecture)
which led me to reading about Threads:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thread_(computing)
Do you use multithreading when, for example, you are creating hundreds of Facebook accounts rapidly?
In what other scenarios is multithreading used? Some examples, please.

Can you point me to where I can read about this rookie stuff, without bothering yous?

Thanks for your time.

Darn, Respenzer… that is Not what I wanted to hear. Why, then, do some services advertise that they WILL hide my real IP? Is that just complete sales BS?

I Have studied, GTAgressor. Studied and read the definitions of open and public and shared and datacenter and transparent and anonymous and residential and dedicated and elite and private and backconnect proxies. They mostly vary just in cost, based upon how many other people are using (or abusing) them. Only Backconnect proxies seem to Function in a different manner.

Very cool, MuayThai… how did you know that I've also studied Fingerprints?
Whoer.net is just one of the eleven websites that I've visited to analyze my fingerprint.
Not much reading there, though, for basic information about proxies, or anything else, really.
Together, those eleven sites I visited track several hundred different attributes.
I'm unique amongst the 1.6 million visitors to EFF Panopticlick.
I've determined that there are two ways to combat a fingerprint problem;
1. Be like the majority, or 2. Change your fingerprint often.
Trying to implement solution 1, I started with a laptop dedicated to this project:
Clean install Win 7 (the most popular OS);
Install Chrome (the most popular browser is currently v65, not the latest version);
Did all of the Win7 updates (over 200 of 'em):
Disable / do not install… JavaScript, Flash, Java, ActiveX, SilverLight, iFrames, Active Scripting, Webgl , and Webrtc.
And with only the default Win7 fonts installed… Crap… Didn't work… I was still unique.
So, I'm hoping that MultiLoginApp will be good for the second plan.
That iplocation.net is cool… shows my geo-location from five different information sources.
And they do have a very nice glossary of tech terms (their Knowledgebase). Valuable reading.

Unfortunately, I'm still not any closer to some answers for the original questions.
Is that X-forwarded-for header optional?
And, some examples, please, of when multithreading is used?

Thanks.

An update: Found some Very Valuable reading at Proxynova.com.
Now, getting back to the need for anonymity,
You say that 100% anonymity is impossible. OK… I understand...
The dreaded 3-letter agencies (FBI, CIA, NSA, etc...) will always be able to find me. I'm Not worried.
BECAUSE, if I'm Not doing anything that's Illegal, but simply stuff that is against the server website policy,
Then… will an ELITE or a HIGHLY ANONYMOUS proxy hide my real IP?
That is… WITHOUT A WARRANT, will they be able to find me?
Thanks.

I believe there are several services hiding client's real IP.

Hmm.... magic maybe? :-D

I am afraid it's not all about proxies then. There are attributes you can not hide by proxy usage, such as screen resolution for example.
Proxy can hide information about your connection and outgoing IP only.

Great! I am happy I was helpful.

Yes, it's optional. For example, we offer elite proxies and X-forwarded-for header is completely disabled.

And, some examples, please, of when multithreading is used?

It's for sending the automatic requests and parsing.
Most probably you would not see the difference by simply browsing web-sites as a regular Internet user.

Yes, elite proxy will hide your real IP for sure. Furthermore, you can always use online checkers to find out whether your real IP is still visible? And whether you're still having X-forwarded-for header.
Hope it helps.

So, it apparently IS POSSIBLE to hide the client real IP address?! Do you all agree?
All that I need is an Elite or Anonymous proxy… one that does not use the X-Forwarded-For or the similar Forwarded: header… yes?
Of course, a legal warrant can circumvent that privacy, but I'm not worried about that.
THIS is some Very Good news. Very Glad to hear this from the experts.

Of course, MuayThai, an IP is but one tiny part of a Fingerprint, which may include such random things as the Number of CPU cores,
which Plugins were installed and in what sequence, Browser version, and the remaining battery life (of a laptop).
I've read that a good Fingerprinter can even see my BIOS, showing the "HDD Serial number" and/or the "System UUID",
which are real damn unique identifiers. Hell, if they can do that, then they wouldn't need to bother with any installed fonts or Canvas tests.

Thanks for those links, Proxygo. I read the entirety of them, which led me to subsequent texts about one-arm and two-arm load balancers.
It's above my level of comprehension. Ah, well… I don't think that stuff is relevant to my project.

Thanks for the conversation, people.

not ignoring you mate - just busy watching world cup

...

YES !
but ...

sometimes you need more than just elite proxies, depending on your needs.

the website can still identify yourself even though you have used an elite proxy, through webrtc, for example.

That's why provacy tools are present, such as ndalang / mla.
