I'm a noobie startup guy. I know this is kind of outside the BlackHat world but I was hoping to get some advice on generating legitimate traffic for a legitimate web startup.
I'm building a city guide and trying to drive initial traffic. This is a service similar to TimeOut magazine except with more content so it needs to focus down to city level: SF, NYC, Miami, Toronto, Austin, London etc.
I followed a thread and hoped to use the free intro fb credits with prepaid CCs to get a following of likes on targeted pages. In other words, use the usual $50 of free FB ad credits to get users to like a very targeted activity like "Rock Climbing" then syndicate out targeted posts from there. However, I can't find any free FB credits anymore.
Does anyone have any other ideas on seeding REAL traffic for my startup?
