Hi allI have a site which is ranked in 6 th position in first page.I got my root domain in google first page and I am keep on trying to improve my position but not able to move from 6th position. When I checked my competitor they don't have much backlinks and contents but they are still in top and all are 1-2 year age domain and mine is 2.4 years domain. The main difference I found they have exact keyword in their url not in root domain. My question is, should I create a separate page with the same URL and target ?

By, "they have the exact keyword in their URL and not in root domain", do you mean that their keyword is in the slug and you have an exact-match domain?

Additionally...

  • It's not about how many backlinks they have, but the quality of those backlinks.
  • Your domain is also only slightly older than their domain. Domain age also doesn't immediately translate into authority.
If you're already ranking for the keyword with one page, why not try to build quality backlinks and improve your on-page SEO strategy to increase your rankings?

They have exact keyword in url ( all domain including mine partialy matched.Only one domain is exact match) and able to see no backlinks and less content

Personalization and you're probably ranking for a garbage query, so it doesn't count for anything.
