Playlists ranking higher than videos for same keywords?

For some reason all my playlists are ranking on the first and second pages on youtube for my keyword. The problem is those individual videos inside of the playlists are ranking on pages 7 or higher. I've just been ranking my videos and not my playlists so I'm curious why youtube is ranking my playlists higher?

It looks like Youtube's algo favors playlist over single videos. I don't do anything on Youtube so I don't know for sure but from what you said it seems this way.

I've noticed this 2 the first 8 slots for my keywords are all playlists
