Alright, let's start with the usual disclaimers.

I don't know how this is going to go. I don't know shit about Pinterest. The majority of my tracking is half-assed and gets mixed in with other projects at points so my analytics is guesswork at times. A lot of this project is sitting around waiting to see what happens.

In short - the whole thing is pretty half-assed.

Obviously, there's an element of stuff I can't talk about because I don't want the competition doing exactly the same thing.

The Journey

Pinterest is a weird site for me. The userbase is bigger than I originally thought and it ranks for longtails you wouldn't expect but it's also more niche than I'd normally bother with. IG, for instance, is so big you'll always find a market for even the obscure niches. Pinterest user traffic is (mostly) a lot more specific.

Someone switched be onto Pinterest a few weeks ago and I poked at it a little. I saw a little bit of traffic and then dug in to see what people are doing. I've said it before and I'll say it again - if you see someone doing something consistently they're probably profitable. So when I stumbled across someone with about 2,000 domains on there it caught my interest.

I've seen a whole bunch of ways to do Pinterest. Posting content, joining/building boards and follow/unfollow. I'm trying a little bit of everything - partially based on what I saw this 2k domains guy doing.

There's a couple of different methods running at the same time with some half-assed tracking in place so I can see what seems to be working.

The Setup to Start:

The whole thing is automated and relatively scalable. I have a small bottleneck I could overcome with a little bit of work but I'm waiting to see if it's worth really bothering with.

Currently, I have about 30 accounts running with another dozen or so to be added. The traffic is slow but seems to be growing day by day. At the moment the plan is to leave it running for a couple of weeks and get an idea of which methods are working and worth scaling.

pintreast been a massive traffic source for many business .

what i was told , use anythink that frmale relate to and eventually get rich .

so if ladys like shoes , sell shoes .

if a lady like lipstick, sell lipstick

so shopping is huge on that platform.

so dropshipping would be grate , that 1 example .

Pinterest really seems to be confusing. Do have any leads to resources to learn?

the bset way is study how it all works , join up and give it a go before boting .

not every platform is for everyone you might hate it .

I know Pinterest has traffic but usually the limitation puts me off. I tend to work on big networks where you can promote basically everything.

I'm not bothering with dropshipping at the moment I'll take the hassle free traffic over the margins so everything is affiliate sales and CPA. There is a mix of physical products in there but the tracking for that is just starting up so everything in the last week or so has been just melded into a different projects metrics.

As for a resource I haven't looked anywhere other than Pinterest itself. Just doing what they're doing on a bigger scale and testing a bunch of shit to see what works.

intresting journey. have account with 10k followers but, yet now not monetize..
'll be following

Good luck on your journey...pinterest is definitely worth for generating traffic if it done in a right way...

Good luck with your journey. How long have you had your accounts set up for?

Group boards still work. But it is quite difficult to get invites to these boards.

Traffic hit an all time high yesterday since the project began with somewhere around 120 hits to landing pages. Nothing to write home about but the lines are going in the right direction. Going to have to tweak the setup a bit to remove that bottleneck but it's been a long couple of days I think I'll do that tomorrow.

I have some aged accounts and some new ones. You see a lot of stuff people posting about warming up and having aged accounts but I've yet to see it make a difference.

I'm trying Pinterest too for several months (automatically posting free images there) and it brings a little traffic...

Maybe I'll give a shot with pingroupie.com or similar...

Do you post to group boards or just your own created boards?
The exact number of visists is a secret? :)

Good luck with your journey! i'm also trying to understand pinterest algorithm to rank based on keywords but still can't figure it out beside of the fact that i ranked once

Best of luck with your journey.

I agree, it has never been an issue for me but then again the stuff I do is pretty white hat. I think it all depends on the sort of thing you are using them for, with some methods older accounts may be of more use but in general terms I don't think it matters that much.

Could you maybe tell something about your strategy? Like do you only repin your own Posts or does every Account post unique content or same?

Traffic is there but still isn't much to talk about. It seems to spike at points when pins get shared to bigger boards but, for the most part, I'm just letting this run a while.

Looking at some of my competition who have been doing this a lot longer I think my settings might be a little tame. I cut the limit down after a ban wave but I'd actually changed a number of things and I'm not convinced the limit was causing the issue.

Debating increasing it or just letting it plod along. Not like I'm actively having to do anything for any of this anyway.

I'm throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks. I'm posting, reposting, repinning, automatically generating images, following/unfollowing and I'm debating setting up an outreach script to get invited to niche boards.

I can't tell you what works because I don't know any more than you do. Look at what others are doing in the wild and emulate.
