I have called someone to let them know about price for seo. I told them $x
I predict that in a couple of days, he will come up with an offer of x/2. In reality, I would be happy with x/2 but based on experience, I know this person will negotiate the fuck out of me. So I just doubled what I am willing to take.

Now the question is, how do I accept his offer of x/2? If I yes immediately ("sure, no problem") it looks ridiculous that I came down so much.

how should I accept his offer so my value doesn't go down and I dont end up looking like an idiot?
    I am thinking:
    [long silence] "OK, fine"
or "normally I wouldn't do this, but I will do it this time"

    is that good?

Tell him to meet you in the middle between his figure and yours.... if he keep pushing hard ass... then finally accept his $x/2 price...

He is the one adapting to your price as he is your client. You tell him what you offer and for what price, if he can't afford it, then just leave him.

A customer is a customer, even if profit margins are low, you still are getting another customer, who might (depending on your work) ask you for other projects and pay higher or even more valuable they might refer friends to you which means even more customers.
