Playing Around on Teespring

Hi BHW,
Been looking on as a viewer for a while but wanted to create an account to ask for some advice. I saw that some people had had some success on Teespring so I wanted to try it out. I made this shirt https://teespring.com/tropical-mens-shirt?pid=369&cid=6512&sid=front with a picture that I had on my phone in about 5 minutes. If you think it would sell, how would I go about promoting it? I read about trying to get pages with a lot of followers on instagram to post about it, is that still a good idea?

Instagram and facebook are good for POD, If you want it organic then get a merch by amazon account it's hard to get accepted but give it a try .

Tshirt market is saturated and to be frank your design looks generic.

If you really want to get started in this, I suggest you try to catch viral trends that others haven’t latched on and make tshirts based on those. Easier said than done since like I said its a saturated market and the barrier to entry is low (really cheap to get decent designs on Fiverr)

promotions wise you have a lot of options to test and i mean you will have to test to see which works good in what niche so yes ig sponsorships, google adwords, fb ads to name a few

lots of youtubers discuss strategies on this, have a look see you might pick some stuff up

It depends you need to make like 5 designs and test your ads till you find a winning one, its always about testing, so test test test

You are 5 years too late for something like this to be selling Tropical what? Who is your audience? Who would wear this?

For POD, it is way better to go market first approach, meaning you find a passionate audience and do A TON of research and give them exactly what they want and would wear.

IG has higher potential in attaining audience for tees & merchs.
