Hey everyone, first time poster, long time stalker.

Found this place on Google doing a search for Playinator. I bought it last March and it worked great, up until recently.

I noticed that ever since YT Jumpstart went down, so did Playinator, as I assume they both use the same servers.

Now the account I paid for to have 99 video slots and unlimited daily uploads, turned into the 8 slot 5 per day limit of the basic account. I emailed Ian on several occasions over the past few days and have not heard from him at all.

Has anyone here heard from Ian at all regarding the status of the problem with Playinator? This is getting to be a real pain.

It worked great up until recently.

My channels success was pivital using Playinator, and now it doesn't seem to be working.

Same problem seems to be happening to everyone. Playinator seems to be a complex trick. I too found this forum because of a bad experience with it, and especially very bad customer support which does not honour guarantees and does not reply to emails. I would advise anyone to stay well away from Playinator.

Well, Playinator WAS good up until recently. After they had a crash, everyones views tanked. I notice that YT Jumpstart has the same problem with people not getting any real views at the same time of the problem with Playinator. Seeing that Playinator and YT Jumpstart obviously use the same system, I can always find out what's happening to Playinator by going to the Jumpstart forum, as Playinator does not have their own forums. (even though I constantly tell Ian he needs one)

As of late, I am lucky to get on average 50 views a day now, far below the 250 minimum advertised. :cow04: I am beginning to suspect though that it is NOT Playinator or Jumpstarts side though. YouTube has been doing some screwing around with the counting system lately. Everyones views tanked over the weekend. I'll be constantly watching my stats, but I really am not expecting much in the future. :(

It does not seem to be so simple. (1) Playinator is not fully down. Rather, some videos stop increasing through P, but do continue organic views. I recently added another vid, and it increased while the older ones stopped, so it is real issue with P. (2) And it really seems like P and not YT! If YT was playing with views, then the organic views would not show in insight.

One of my biggest reservations is that Playinator does not reply to support emails. So I sent a trick query to P as a wannabe customer asking about the bad reviews of P on web blogs. Ian M. replied to me as a wannabe customer....but my emails about P not working remain unanswered. That is so unscrupulous.

He said that P stops working on a video every 25-35 day intervals, for 2-3 days at a time, because YT stops counting unique views for that time, and then starts working again. I wrote back to him, telling him basically I don't believe that answer, because people are complaining about P going down for vids for much much longer than 2-3 days.

I also mentioned to Playinator, as a wannabe customer, that they have bad reviews of unanswered emails. He replied he gets too many emails! Damn, he must be flooded with complaints, and he has no worries about taking money from a new customer? This is getting fishy.

If you want the answer as to why Playinator stops working after a period on your videos, then go to the YT jumstart thread by dishnetboi. Basically, the two are using the same system, and it is a server problem whereby their servers can only handle a certain number of videos at a time, so when that number is reached it boots out the oldest videos on the list. Which means every 25-35 days you need to re-add your video. At the moment, Playinators Ian is totally dishonest about this, and sent me an email as a would be purchaser saying it is a youtube problem not Playinator!!! He doesn't reply to emails, and doesn't give you a credit for a new space for the video booted out..which means your Playinator software will stop working completely after a very short time when you have used up your credits. It is a lie under current system to claim that you will get a lifetime of view increases on each added video.

    Bigjim,
Playinator and Jumpstart might be using the same servers, yes. But it isnt exclusively their systems going down during these down times.

For the past 2-3 weeks, youtube has been having cycle of 2-3 days - usually the high bandwidth weekend, where they are not counting non-referrer and off-site refferer views from non-logged-in viewers.

This is literally cutting out 80%-90% of tallied views from these sources during this weekly period.

It doesnt matter if your using using playinator, jumpstart or buying advertisement space on a blog with 20,000 hits per day. If you views aren't coming from on-site (youtube) referrer links their getting discounted unless the view comes from a logged-in viewer. If the viewer is logged into their google and/or youtube account it will still get counted.

OR if the user views the video after clicking from an ON-YOUTUBE link, they do NOT have to be logged in for the view to count.

AGAIN, this is only occurring 2-3 days a week. And when it is occurring, 80-90% of the views which do not meet the above criteria are being discounted.

I AM PRAYING this is a temporary situation and NOT the beginning of a 'PHASE OUT' for counting non-referrer views and off-site referrer views.
