Play2Earn NFT Games

There is no liquid asset class that is not a ponzi scheme if you carefully look at it. The stock market is a carefully hidden legal ponzi scheme. It thrives because its always finding the next sucker to believe the lie. Read this analysis to see what I mean. https://www.financial-spread-betting.com/Stock-market-ponzi.html
Just because governments have not yet made crypto another "legalised ponzi scheme" does not mean we should give it a bad name just to hang it.

I believe the main reason many governments are against it is because of its anonymous nature, which makes it a little difficult to track and tax. As soon as they perfect how to do that, they will allow it freely.

So for crypto games, I think it will be a large part of the future of crypto once game economics can be designed that address the current reward token inflation issues and the importance of being early to a crypto game. As it is now for almost all the crypto games, if you are not early and do not wish to invest a significant amount of money, do not expect to win much - and really thats why its called a p2e: if you dont wanna pay, don't play.
Most stock market companies produce value or products. If Netflix gains more subs, and gets more popular - there is a clear reason why the next sucker will believe it's a good investment. If Apple gets more market share with phones, there is a good reason why the company is predicted to succeed in the future even more thus gaining interest from investors and increasing its stock price.

When it comes to nft games and crypto like bitcoin, the only modification that affects the interest is market sentiment about how the next person after I purchased it wants to pay for it. Nothing more, there is no value added. And all bitcoin fanbois - Im sorry but till the day I can safely keep my money in bitcoins and go purchase milk and bread with it - we cant talk value.

You actually can buy milk and bread with it. Just with your payment card.

If I had $5 and a week later it's $2.5, then I will not probably. Of course it can go up as well. But I will die from hunger till it happens. With this I just wanted to say - that Im not wealthy enough to keep my cashing account in crypto to be lost over market changes. I like stability, till this is solved - I do not see how what is happening with bitcoin is anything else than a ponzi where next people are paying for previous profit and when it stops - it crashes. And Im aware of yearly cycles and Im aware that every few years price goes only up. And still even being aware of all that - I see that as a very high risk investment.

Problem is that with crypto a person should invest it on a monthly basis to get a good average price. But I certainly do understand your point of view.

This is the reason why we talk about the use case for a token. Lets not just focus on Bitcoin. It was the first and at that time the importance of a good enough use case was not thought of. (Bitcoin did have an early use case, but this has been overshadowed with the appearance of other cryptos which do it better - that is the ability to send thousands, millions or even billions of monetary value anonymously and at the cost of pennies. That may not seem like much to many now but in the early days, it was a big deal. Its still a big deal in certain parts of the world that for various reasons are not financially included in popular finance services.) If not for blockchain technology pioneered by Bitcoin, international money transfers would still be ridiculously expensive simply because the banksters were taking us to the cleaners. For this achievement alone Bitcoin retains its respect till date.

Today BNB, Ether and a host of others are examples of tokens with valid use cases. They are needed for gas fees for the VMs they run. They do not possess stability but to solve that, we have stablecoins which provide the best of both worlds- stability, anonymity and cheap transactions. So you have the choice to keep your value in stablecoins and then you can surely buy your milk without the fear of loosing value. You may say "stablecoins are not safe - look at Luna". Well, its the same with any other "safe" asset class. US dollars are only safe now because the petrodollar system as well as bonds held by the chinese and the rest of the world keep it safe. If tomorrow the unthinkable happens (and I think it will someday) and the petrodollar system collapses plus the bonds loose their value and a demand for payment in gold arises, the dollar will crash like never before.

So a P2E game that can carefully calibrate its ecosystem will do well. Axie as one of the first in the space, suffers from the same fate Bitcoin suffers - some implications of their ecosystem were not thought through early enough. I believe, sooner or later, a P2E that does the balancing act well will emerge. It may already be here, but may not have gained traction yet.

Mostly waste of time , Just to co operate their ponzi scheme with an new layer of technology !

Hi BHW,

What do you think about Play2Earn NFT games?

Are they future of making money from home or just a big scam?
the potential is there
but it is really carried by the hype, more than anything.
For example, this one game I tried out when it first came out this month or was it last month
Ni No Kuni, huge franchise, got in, made some $, and got out, despite it's trash reviews, despite it's lashback on having NFTs and being on the blockchain.
majority of the Gamers don't really have the blockchain mindset, hence why there always such negative feedback on reviews, so I would always recommend don't take it for face value.
Surely, even now, if you scale that hugely, you can still make quite a bit a day.
There other games like Summoner's Wars who slowly integrate the blockchain into their mobile games without effecting it hugely, a nice P2E on the side at the sacrifice of progress too is alot more subtle then straight out P2E.

P2E is here to stay , i wont say it's the future but it's present , a lot of games are being build on this model .
The biggest problem with P2E is game tokens or their NFT loosing value (same happened with axie infinity) cause of lack of demand .but on the other hand few games which are being released frequently with their next part keep engaging their audience . So future looks bright for P2E , their tokenomics needs to be worked on

make your own, dont play them. its a waste of time and money.

Profitable if you get in early and game actually shoots and is not a rug pull project. I made thousands with axie infinity last summer. Those who got even earlier probably rich af right now...

P2E = ponzi schemes. I guess in the future will have fair (not get-rich-ponzischeme) when the trending maturates and big players join. By now it is fun to make quick money if you know how to dance. Although the hype is dead rn, I would not advise even trying to do. Forget about it

so far no, maybe in a few more years, sometimes you need to invest money to start getting some in return otherwise just to start will take 1 or 2 years of griding in some games and then you will start getting just a tiny portion, but definitely I keep an eye for any good nft game that might appear.

Most of them are actually Ponzi Schemes.

Most of them are total garbage that dont pay off in the least bit.

I would stay away from NFT games as I stay away from drugs and gambling.

Not all are scam. There are different kinds of Play2Earn games. Always try to make good research before investing in any. I know a legit one so far which is Metacade. They have special features and good vision. You can search on coingecko or check Bitget Exchange if you have one.
