I am trying to figure out if I have a problem or not. Maybe someone in here can help. I have a 50" plasma, when I turn it on it clicks like its clicking on and off before it turns on, this has been going on since I got it. I have been told this is normal because its trying to charge the plasma up. Does anyone have a plasma that does this?

Wow 50 inch..that's big.. I have a 35 inch LCD TV and I'm happy with it.. anyway the guy from the store told me LCDs are better than plasmas Was he right ?!

the lcd will probably last longer and may have a more crisp picture, but the colors on plasmas are much more vibrant.

depends on your tastes

Buzzkill, yes it is a "powerup" process for sending current through the plasma. Exactly how loud is it? It shouldnt be too loud, how long have you had it? This should wear off as time goes by
