I am starting a new thread, in regards to my last thread, which was asking if Florida is a good place to live! .. After hearing peoples thoughts and opinions, iv decided to take a small step, by coming over there to live in Orlando for 1 month, to familiarize myself with the place, and to get used to the way of living!

I work online (IM and Forex) so work will not be a problem, but im only 19, so my experience, budget etc is pretty limited, so i wanted to ask you beautiful people at BHW, how you would go about planning a trip like this, and also, what sort of prices will i be looking at:

1) Accomodation - How much to rent in Orlando?
2) What visa will i need
3) Any other helpful information about living there

Thanks a lot for your help!

Haha .. as tempting as that looks, im gunna have to stick with Florida .. the reason im going there is to get used to the way of life there, and see if i really want to move there after graduation (which is the main goal) .. But if im looking for a fun holiday, il keep Rio De Janeiro at the top of my list ;)

I've lived in Florida all my life. You've got to take the good with the bad. If you hate cold weather, do it. We only get a couple of days at or below freezing in the central Florida area. If you hate heat and humidity--head the other way. Likewise, mosquitos, alligators, hurricanes. No state income tax, and a relatively low sales tax (6% state-wide, many counties add a penny or so.)

Good luck!
