Planned Obsolescence on Laptops

So this just happened to mine.

$400 laptop, lasted me 1.5 years not bad. but I have ifixit kits and can replace. I just feel bad that there are consumers who do not know how to fix these and are left on edge. These can almost be prevented by good supporting frames such as polycarbonate or metal frames but the cheap laptops know this and with the plastic, you can easily create stress points on these 2 points that will inevitably lead to you breaking your laptop in two. :P

Lmfaaaao dude same shit happnd to mine , I think even worse.. there is nothing that I can repair of it , keys don't work and still made money on it.

Whats wrong with it? If it a keyboard issue, just replace the keyboard by taking off the back and removing the ribbon cable and replacing it, sounds like a bad connector or loose

Not only that the laptop is fuxked it is also hacked Rip
 
Also depends in the usage and conditions you have it.
Maybe you have a shitload of malware using always more than 70% CPU and RAM with just Chrome and some software opened, also many people put the laptop on the bed without allowing it to breathe.

Many factors.

best way to run chrome is with a laptop that has 6+ gb ram

I think mine got everything including aids and cancer lol I stopped using it till I get a new one but this time I'ma go for something good
 
The planned obsolescence is a fact and I can guarantee you that it exists in many products.

I have personally made some television reports in which the existence of planned obsolescence was demonstrated.
In some user manuals (printers in particular), it is indicated that the printer ends its cycle after 50,000 prints.

Just remove the hard drive. As long as you didnt do anything bad with it( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), it should be fine

Same happened to me, but I bought a normal PC screen, connected the laptop to the screen and basically just used the laptop as a keyboard and mouse for 8 years :D
 
im not gonna cy, its only $400 but i bought the parts anyway
 
my wife sony vaio , put away at christmas working fine.
got it out in jan , black screen on boot, no image using
hdmi to tv , not sure if its worth a fix so tucked it away
til i decide .
