Plagiarism Vs Originality: Google is getting smart! Here is why...

Getting a stunning plagiarism score of "100% unique" is NOT an express ticket to ranking on SERPS Neither does it denote quality content anymore.

The earlier bloggers know this the better.

So what's my point?

I have just realized that when I re-write an article that is 100% unique in the eyes of the best plagiarism checkers, it will still remain bull**** in the eyes of Google. Because the smart bots can now identify regurgitated content!!!

Way forward....

All we need now is an "Originality Checker" you are wasting time checking for plagiarism.

Just be ORIGINAL. Even without keywords. Just write an original article, with a fresh line of thinking, and a style that woos readers. E.g. Use of badass power words, catchy phrases, non-cliche yada yada..... (see what i have done there?)

That is what Google needs. Write something that cannot be re-written by simply replacing words with synonyms (those days are long gone)

My $0.02....take it with a lil' pinch of salt!

Thousands of sites prove you wrong.

A 100% "unique" article can be poor quality and doesn't guarantee ranking.

But also a 100% copied article is not prevented from ranking.

There are 100s of threads here about people complaining that someone scraped their site and are out ranking them and what can they do?

Clearly Google is happy to rank copied content higher than the original and uses many other criteria and metrics when evaluating urls for the serps.

Your "omniscient Google" theory sounds good though, and many people fall for it.

Yes sure. 80% is replacing words with synonyms and rearranging the paragraphs and sentence order. But he flow and the ideas behind the writings are borrowed. Same thing auto-content generators do!

Plus I do a little of both, I have tested with my articles and it made me stop hating on Google or blaming algorithms!

All scientific papers are rewritten because every single sentence needs to be credited as to why you were lead to that hypothesis and Google just re-created the universe? Do you even life bro?

Sure, i have many "copied articles" that have outranked the original. Simply by skyscraper approach. But the days of such articles are numbered. I have seen them slowly falling to their "deserved position".

It's creepy, but i feel like Google AIs are now able to read and comprehend....or maybe there is increased human intervention!
 
There is nothing original left on the net in term of past keyword, because there’re billions of sites that have written on it, so you can only rewrite in a way you want to present the info as simple as it gets
 
Getting a plagiarism score of "100% unique" from Copyscape has been flawed for over a decade.

There was a great product for sale on here about 9 years ago that highlighted this.

It seems there's an increase again in shady sellers ( off the forum I must add ) passing off articles with the unicode changed.


There are now a few tools out there such as Surfer that are able to produce great content that ranks but reads well and is unique.
 
I don't want to be the one that breaks it to you but your view upon "re-writing" content it's so freaked up. Changing synonyms, modifying the words will only result in "spun content," that's all.

When you re-write a piece of content: Get ideas from other articles but write them in your own way. That's what "re-writing means."

As for the original "OP": What a Bullsh*t. I know people who rank with spun content. Hell, if not most of the BHW uses spun content to rank their affiliate links and so on. I must say, mate - Stop spreading false information.

The content was never the king. Google is the king - backlinks - PBNs - AND GOOD ASS KEYWORDS. Of course, I do have one main belief: The reader makes your content matter.

And that is why I said: "There days are numbered..." (meaning they can still enjoy while it last!)

I have a shitload of100% spun content that has outranked the original content, and even high DA sites. But i can't boast about it, coz they are slowly being flagged with time as compared to those that are 100% unique/fresh.

Plus....relax...i said we take this with a pinch of salt! It ain't a case study!
 
Again, you're misinformed. With Google's actual issues, I highly think that ITS days are numbered. They're not going bankrupt, but it's enough to make "God" bleed to bring the sharks at it. "yadda, yadda, see what I did there"?

:D:D:D I saw that....that's some deep stuff. Never thought about it in that angle
 
There are many different factors here, but I've learned from my own experience that it's very important to start building backlinks from very trustworthy sites. This will help a lot in ranking.

It is because the quality of the content is shitty. It's better to have an 80% unique article that is engaging than 100% unique but sounds like written by a bot.
