How good is Pinterest for sending traffic to your blog? I've read a couple of articles on the topic but wondered if anyone here has tried it.

Hello, I am in the same boat. I am looking for the one who can share some tips to Pinterest for gaining traffic. I have tried few myself and got a little improvement in traffic, but still something is missing.
1) Create Your Own Original Content to Pin.
2) Pin More Tutorials and Teasers.
3) Focus on trending topics.
4) Include ?call to actions? in your captions.
5) Host a Contest on Pinterest.
i am still lacking, Can anyone share me some good ideas for gaining traffic.?

If you site is in quotes, food, travel, DIY, home decor niche you can expect a lot of traffic from pinterest
Just build authority pinterest profile having like 10-15 random boards and almost 1k+ pins
Just find some popular profiles and repin their pins and make similar board
Once you have build a authority profile find some group boards having a lot of followers
important: Here you will only succeed if you play wisely, don't over promote or spam
Use this search term to search out group boards in your niche .. just replace KEYWORD with any of yours term

Most of the times instruction to join group board are given at top in description of board, if not then just comment on any pin of board owner, requesting to join

Hey..try this... use #PinPinterest to manage your Pinterest account. Schedule as many pins as you want and add a link to your blog in the description.
You'll see progress right away.
