Hi, I'm starting a new gaming website where I'm planning to sell all gaming stuff (digital & physical products), also I want to do a forum there for gamers or a blog section and I'm thinking to focus on Pinterest to start bringing some free traffic.

I know that Pinterest is more for females than males, that why I'm confused.
any ideas/suggestions? thank you in advance.

Honestly, I tried pinterest couple time, and didn't bring to much money, for me better works FB adds. Hopo someone will give you better answer or strategy, but I gave you my opinion about that. Cheers!

Thank you, you confirmed something i had in ma mind.

Based on Pinterest audience insight, I can see that the gaming niche under the entertainment category is 52% of all Pinterest users. The gaming niche audience size itself is 11% of the entertainment audience size which is 52% of all Pinterest users. So, I can say the gaming niche has its own audience base on Pinterest. It's a good place to promote your gaming site. Just test it :)

If you making affiliate site then its ads are okey, but if you making drop shipping then you can make FB or instaram page and sell things there. But al in all, you are welcome

They said that Pinterest is more for females that makes me afraid to waste my time, also when I scroll on gaming boards i don't see such interesting products, it means that gaming marketers avoid Pinterest?

Yes Pinterest users mostly female 70% of them, we can assume that there is some percentage of females who are interested in the gaming niche also based on the above data.

My advice just checks the top Pinterest account in the gaming niche, you can find them by sorting your search to a Pinterest profile. If you found them, it's good you can reverse engineer what they did also how they monetize their site. You can check their domain site traffic source from Similiarweb.com to see what is the biggest traffic source to their site. You may consider to pursue that traffic source also

thank you so much, it's really helpfull what you mentioned. thank you again

Reddit & Discord work better for gaming traffic. It requires a lot more work on Pinterest.

I use business account, so you can see top categories of Pinterest.

Here are top 5:

home decor
69%

food and drinks
56%

art
56%

diy and crafts
54%

entertainment
52%

I would go with one of the above.

Pinterest can works for you, why not? Don't guess, just test.

It's a low maintenance traffic source, just make 300 pins with canva or something similar, bulk upload them into tailwind and make them run for 30 days. Total cost should be 20$ of tailwind subscription and total time should be 2-24 hours, it depends on your skills.
