Pinterest Suspensions

Anybody getting your account back after suspensions? I didn't even pin and all were repins.

I've never been able to get one back. I email then and pretend I'm really upset and everything. They are mean pricks over at Pinterest

Thanks. Do you know why Pinterest bans accounts? Anybody knows?

Pinterest usually bans account mainly on spam overuse (subjective) and on angry moms that flag you. Seriously. If you think an angry mom sitting at home might be upset that she ended up on a blog page covered in ads rather than a nice, neat mom-ish little page with a large version of her precious cake images that she can pretend (in her mind) to stuff down her filthy, cavernous, gullet (complete with detailed recipe and How To video series on how to make cake in general, in multi-language write up and digital brail no less - since she lost her vision to sugar-slurm poisoning),... if she gets YOUR page... man... watch out... heh. She's gonna flag you. All it takes is one or two. Sometimes just one. This triggers a manual review of your actual endpoint page. If they (the Pinter-elder Gods) so much as THINK it's just an ads site, you're toast. I would know. I run 6 Pinterest accounts + 6 endpoint sites and the key is keeping a SUPER low profile, pinning everything that LOOKS official from your site and for God's sake make sure your endpoint site looks legit and professional like an actual business (can have ads, just make it all look good and REAL). You can totally VERIFY your site with them. Not verifying your site is just another nail in your coffin when a manual review happens - it's a signal to the Pinthulian Old ones that you are scared and have something to hid! ... Then, when flags happen (and they still might), the Pinterest elders will squint thoughtfully at your site, see that her precious picture of bile-cake actually IS there, and simply send blow over it, shambling on through to another dimension, to find easier, stupider, uglier looking (obvious) MFA type sites upon which to exact their gory ghost-ban-dorum vengeance. people gonna flag you when you grow, and you will get bans, many cases like this happen

I'm very very sure it's not because somebody flagged my account as I haven't pinned anything from my own sites. I only repinned very normal stuff, such as fashion, home decor, pics of places etc. Though I did join some group boards as I was randomly invited. Could this be the reason?

So don't put all eggs in a basket. Create few accounts on Pinterest, if you want to use a bot for Pinterest.

Hi himanuzo, thanks for the advice. I actually have quite a number of accounts created recently. One by one they seem to get suspended without reason. Which is why I need to find out what is causing these suspensions.

That's odd, I've only ever had one account suspended and I have 100+ accounts atm. I even pin from my own sites so maybe your site isn't as professional as it should be?

Likely more strict from Pinterest..

The accounts are not connected to my site at all.

I just got one of my accounts suspended today after I got 11k followers and had one of my broads featured on Pinterest just a few days ago. Didn't do anything but repin women's clothes and shoes and not linking anything to a website either.

Only thing I can think of that might have happened was I might have repinned someones else's pin that had a spammy link.

I've contacted support about it already, but I'm really pissed.

That is really sad to hear. I haven't had much luck with contacting their support. Did you happen to join several group boards lately?

I've had 2 accounts reinstated from a suspension. One took over 6 weeks before reinstatement; the other within 4 hours. In each case, I was reported for spamming group boards. Luckily, my profiles can pass manual review (at least 2 of them).

Just an observation, the past 3 mo's, I noticed that Pinterest would mass ban towards the 2nd half of the month. I see it as an across-the-board one day drop of my followers, anywhere from 20-200 for each account. Not sure if Pinterest ques up accounts for a batch suspension or if they rollout a new algorithm that catches multiple accounts. In all cases, the noticeable loss of followers occurs in the 3rd or 4th week of the month.

This is worrying to hear since from what people have said the focus on pinterest is to make your accounts unique and put effort into them.

The trouble is putting effort into an account and having it banned on a whim don't go hand in hand.

If we get banned randomly then ofc. this will just encourage you to want to make lots of accounts and lots of accounts means you'll wanna automate it; I will anyway.

I'm finding it hard enough getting my 1st account built up let alone others. Granted most of it is still learning cos I only started this week but it's very disheartening to know that I could get banned at any time.

That's why you create more than 1 account. Create multiple accounts, use this - http://www.chuchowebmaster.com/mass-follow-unfollow-pinterest/ method and you'll get shitload of followers easily to each account.

Also, stay away from niches that angry mommas are into...

there were a lot of bans recently for people that joined other boards, only for that reason, nothing else, I had 2 accounts banned like this, nothing i said could take them back. so just think if it's worth it when you join other boards..

No, I was only pinning popular pins to my own boards. I'm still not sure what happened. Maybe I unknowingly repined something that had spam url behind it and got flagged? Or maybe some hater flagged me just for the heck of it? I still still have no idea though.

I have another account where I pin to some group boards and I haven't had any problems. Although, I noticed just yesterday that one of those boards disappeared which had like 18k - 20k followers.
