Pinterest Optimization for Citations?

I have a website where I rank #1 for my kw1 and kw2 locally. However, my competitor is closing in on me. I recently created a Pinterest account for my business and was wondering what the best way to optimize the descriptions would be? Namely for Google Places? I read that you can develop citations for your business by including your shop name, address, phone number, etc., in the description box for each picture you upload to your Pinterest account. Is this true? Any suggestions? Could this potentially hurt me?

I think it's good to add that on your account description or in board description (If you use any specific board for that website).
