Pinterest not showing pin in category

Hey guys

I was testing pinterest these days and I'm wondering about one thing.

For example, I created board and assigned category "Art" for it. Then I'm posting a pin in this board. I navigate to category "Art" and my pin isn't there. I posted 5 pins to that board and pin isn't showing up in category "Art".

Do you experience same thing guys? How to get pin in category?

Yes, I have the same problem. Pinterest have changed their algorithm to fight spam

But there are still lots of spam pins showing up in category, one guy had like 10 pins showed up in category within 10 minutes.

Maybe anyone knows how to put pin in category?
 
Read it on another forum. Pinterest has changed its algo to show pins in the category which is pinned by power users something similar to Digg.

Start making authority accounts now.

Made a few new accounts today. Some of the pins still got to the category page, even though the accounts have 0 history.
 
I noticed this problem last night when I was pinning and figured they were ghosting one of my accounts. I guess I was right.

I'm thinking there are going to start looking not only at how many pins a user is posting but also what they are posting and what url the poster has as the pin like (e.g., http://www.afflink.com/subid).

I thought there used to be a option to make a pin board private. Anyone know if this is still possible?

P.S. I guess my plan of spamming the hell out of them with a few hundreds pins in a short amount of time is no longer going to work (I was willing to lose an account over it).

I thought it was just a 24 hour cooldown? These guys are sneaky as hell at preventing any type of spam.
 
Its real hard to say what type of pin will make a category
I've had pins that make a category one minute and then disappear the next without me doing anything else but manually pinning the first pin.
 
I'll have to focus more on the power user theory.
I have some accounts with a few hundred followers
 
There is no solution....you may or may not get your pins in the category. The best thing you can do for yourself is to like and comment on other pins so people will follow you....ALL followers see your pins upon signing in to your account because they are following you.

You can then sell them
