Has anyone here made money using Pinterest to a shop, or specifically in the female mainly targeted audience?

How can I get traffic to my website from pins? I embedded the image and added the website link and after a short time the article containing that link was spammed even though I only posted 1 post a day.

I agree! Even though I'm not in the same niche as OP, Pinterest definitely helps with traffic.
