One option is not to focus on pinning product pictures but instead pictures with catchy text headlines, graphical how tos, etc. Something that would bait the viewer to want to know more. This is why I think recipe pins work so well for traffic.
Anyways, keep up the good work. You and healzer are helping me get off the ground with a pinterest ecommerce sites. Step-by-step I am figuring things out. Sourcing the products is the easy part. I am just struggling how to scale up accounts starting from zero. Growing accounts following the followers of niche boards is a slow process across 20 accounts. Still learning the ins and outs of pinblaster.
I am sure the pros got some sort of jumpstart process for each new account they use. Cause you need at least a few thousand followers in a group board to really start getting traction. But I am sure they are launching new group boards in days and getting organic pinning on them in volume within a week.
In a few days, I'll start experimenting on using public proxies on junk accounts to see if I can do this jump start process on a smaller scale. Do you have any feedback on this?
