Something weird is happening. Wonder if its because my account is "suspected" but not yet caught for botting..

I set my pinterest to unfollow people for the past 5 days. Weirdly, the number of people that I am following keeps increasing.

It's as though pinterest adds back the unfollowed users for me. Anyone else facing this problem?

Stop the bot and try unfollowing once and see if you are able to remove the users or not.

depends on the boat. i sometimes get unfollow problems with massplaner as well.

The only problem i get is that massplaner just won't unfollow all of them. So i am left with 1-2k i need to unfollow manually (quite the pain >.<)
didn't find a solution.

There's no need to unfollow manually. Almost every repetitive task what you do in a browser can be automated with iMacros.

I recorded and used this macro a while back:
HTML:
VERSION BUILD=8871104 RECORDER=FX
TAB T=1
URL GOTO=https://www.pinterest.com/username/following/
WAIT SECONDS=4
TAG POS=1 TYPE=SPAN ATTR=TXT:People

It can be that it's not working in its present form anymore, but it can be re-recorded and fixed easily.

that is manual following for me ;-) and btw.. the reason massplanner might get problems is that sometimes you have to unfollow a user twice to unfollow him. No idea why tho ;-)

Why manual? :) You just need to start the macro and play it in loop. It unfollows 12 users in a go, so loop count equals to the amount of people you want to unfollow divided by 12. I'm not sure about the following part, i think that's a bit trickier, but for unfollowing this macro works/worked when i last tried. You don't have to use MP at all for unfollowing, just this macro.

if you handle more than one account u kinda need mp ..and i am decidedly not using mp only for unfollow but especially for following. an any action that throws me out of mp is more, manual, non- or semi-automated work. ;-)
i know how imacros works, don't try to convince me it's cool (which it is) ;-)

True dat, but i have no mind reading powers and it was mentioned nowhere, that you use multiple accs.
Let me quote what you said above:

From this i - and i guess pretty much anyone who read that - assumed, that you resort to unfollow manually, in my book using iMacros beats doing repetitive manual tasks any day.

Even if you do use multiple accounts, would you rather unfollow 1-2k leftover followers (per account?) manually than with iMacros (or with any other capable tool), if MP can't seem to unfollow those? I guess not.

iMacros from this point of view is pretty much equals to MP, of course it's single threaded, but you don't have babysit it, it runs in the background, so i don't really understand why does it mean manual work for you. It has proxy support, you can make multiple Firefox profiles, so you can run multiple instances simultaneously, which makes it "multithreaded".

I am sorry, but i don't get your logic.

Regarding to unfollowed users coming back: What's the delay you're using between two unfollow actions? You can try to increase that a bit, if you haven't already.

Other than this, have you tried to contact MP's dev about this unfollowing issue? It doesn't seem normal and he must know something about it.

i am using imacros -.-

i did not contact the support as they have been hm..less than helpful. besides it is a general pinterest problem they will be able to do little about. like I said - there is (probably) a delay problem AND a, as far as I was able to deduce, a problem with accounts you are following but not all of their boards. probably group board related or new board related. I could not pin that down.
