Obviously I'm not a Mod, but in my opinion, Monetizing Pinterest is too new for it's own forum... Who knows, once all the hype over it dies down in the mainstream , maybe it will fall off the radar and lose and die.... its too soon to tell....

Right now the statistic show nothing but going up, and it will continue. I'm not a physic, but I know a viral social site when I see one, and the statistics can't lie.

You are exactly right.. for three years people kept telling that facebook marketing is over as it is over spammed.. but facebook continued to be a good platform to market.. I see pinterest as the next big thing.. no matter what they do, the whole concept is great for marketing certain type of products (when placed in your website). It is better if we have a separate board as people focusing on pinterest will get really benefited.

I personally agree with that ... BHW sure needs a pinterest section ..

I wonder if those rumors, "pinterest guys are on BHW" is the reason why BHW is worried to start a new section ..

To be honest, it's already bigger than lots of things that got their own boards, so making a dedicated board for Pinterest wouldn't really deduct anything from the current forum's quality.

I mean to be honest, I don't see the difference between having a discussion board where we just discuss things, and all the tools that is being used to spam Pinterest in the BST section. With the logic I got currently (it's not the best, but I think it works) discussion is far less problematic than the tools being used and sold on here.

I'll give you a quick answer here since it's off-topic. DO NOT USE Pinterest for SEO! Pinterest's linking scheme is designed to steal your ranking and your traffic in the long-run. If anything, post images that belong to your competitors (be mindful of copyright, though, if your competitor has Pin-It buttons, use them liberally).

Hmm, isn't Pinterest only for pictures? I haven't registered yet, so that's all I've seen there so far. What will the sharing-system be on there? through image comments? (I'm totally clueless, just realized it)
