Hey. I see everyone talking about Pinterest so I decided to check it out and see if i can get some traffic out of it or something. Anyway, I got 2 questions.

1. How many accounts am I allowed to have with 1 IP address? I would assume 5-10, like with twitter, but I am new to Pinterest and I'd like to know.

2. Is Pinterest like Twitter, so if you have 3 websites you need 3 twitter accounts, one for each website. Or is it like Facebook and Google+, where you have 1 Personal account and with that account you can create as many Pages for as many websites as you want?

I prefer the facebook/google+ model, one personal account with which you control all the pages you create. The twitter method of creating a new account for every website is tiring, too many emails and passwords and uploading logos and descriptions and links etc etc...

Thanks...

1. As far as I know, you can have multiple, but I do not recommend it really.

2. You should have one account and multiple BOARDS (not pages) so that people can follow only the ones they're interested.

If your websites are entirely different, then you can run different accounts, but realistically, you can do most of it within a single account since you need to have different types of boards regardless.

The problem is that I'd like to have each website have its own presence.

So for example if I have an account with the name and surname being John Jeff, and I create a board for MyAwesomesSite, then the permalink becomes: http://www.pinterest.com/John Jeff/MyAwesomesSite/, and that account's Homepage will be just pinterest.com/John Jeff, my website won't be there. And then there's also the name of the account, I am trying to promote MyAwesomeSite.com, not John Jeff.

Yeah, i believe it's best to create a separate account for each website. I only have 2 websites, so it's not an issue. I don't know if I'd recommend this to somebody with 20 or 50+ websites. You would need proxies and emails and time and all that...

You can create business accounts for your needs. Still I won't recommend creating more than a couple of accounts on a single IP.

Yeah, I only need 3 actually at the moment. One my personal, One my website, One my blog.

The thing about the business accounts. Ok, so I decided to create one account for each website, should I create business accounts or not? I mean, I'm not exactly selling anything, it's not exactly a business, it's just 2 websites. Do they make any money? Not much at the moment, but I'm hoping they will eventually...

And then is there any difference between a business and a normal personal account? Visibility, promotion, SEO, any reason why one is better than the other?
