You'll probably get invited if you just start using Pinterest. But asking from other spammers is not the best method of moving forward since Pinterest food bloggers are heavily monitoring the boards these days. Just pin a lot of quality pins and like/pin/follow/comment others, you'll start getting followers and invites.

Easy way make 5-10 HQ boards with couple of pins somewhere like 1000 pins in total
Will not take much time just repin from other pinners
then use this search term to search group boards -- replace "KEYWORD" with any of yours
site
interest.com "1000..100000 followers" KEYWORD -intitle:followers "contributor"
Most of the times how to join instruction is given
If not then just comment on group board owner's pin asking for an invite
