Hey every, I've started using Pinterest because I think it has allot of potential to make some $$. Any women that has enough time to browse through hundreds upon thousands of gay pictures surely has too much time, therefore money. So I decided I want some of their money.

I was shocked to discover that Pinterest has recently changed the links that you post from Amazon to their own affiliate link. There is nothing said about this on the website. I tried to cloak the link using a wordpress blog but it still redirects to their link.

Does anyone have any ideas or know any ways that you could get around this? I've tried one thing an I'm all out of ideas.

Uhhmm I'm confused. Instead of posting a direct Amazon link, you posted a link to your own Wordpress blog, and then straight redirected from the Wordpress blog to your Amazon link, right? Then it's not possible for them to change it to their own affiliate link. How do you know it's going to their affiliate link? As I said, I'm fairly confused as to how what you're saying is even possible when using your own external redirection.

I'm not sure how its possible. Maybe they have some code that follows the link an sees where it goes. I know because I tried it an the link looks different to when I put the cloaked link straight into the browser.

It's definitely possible, I've read about plugins that have done this before on different sites.

I think he means he put a short url to his ref. link. I think they're smarter than that.

I know you have put an article on a blog and link to that and then from that to amazon, but thats a shit load of work.

Not a short URL, a cloaked URL from an external domain.

thats messed up. i was gunna start using pinterest with amazon but that is soo messed up.

Yep they did this with random bit.ly links I used a while back. They'll reign it all in sooner or later.

Come on guys this has been known since Pinterest came out! Do some research!

Cheers,
