Hello BHW.

I build up a Pinterest Profil over the last 1.5 weeks, now i have 1500 Niche Specified Followers and i follow about 4000 people.
Now i read often that people got banned on Pinterest, im curious what i should avoid to not get banned?

Currently i dont advertise anything on that account, i try to build it up and look as legit as possible (female account / no ads / just self uploaded catchy niche pictures).

My plan is to setup a blog with News / Videos / Pictures / Reviews or a Affiliate Shop for that exact niche, then share the review/shop product through the share image function of pinterest to my boards.

From what i could read here i know that Pinterest will ban accounts which post pictures with affiliate links in the description but will they ban me with the technique i am currently planning?

i follow about 300-600 people a day, post 20-40 pictures/videos, i think maybe the amount of people i follow is too high and they will ban me for that eventually?

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Regards

Thanks for all the opinions guys, the last 2 days i didnt followed anyone but still managed to get 150 new followers.

Also got 3 invitations to post on group boards, i will keep the followin rate low for now, the account seems to grow naturally now.

In these days people are using bots to follow others in minutes. If you are not using any bots or not breaking theri terms of services, then your account will be in safe.
I have an account with Pinterest and never had a problem with them.

Maybe your affiliate link which causes your account banned.

Because, basically, a lot of people promote affiliate links directly.
You must arouses your own landing page.
So pinterest recorded very few outgoing links using your own domain.

Should be done gradually.

How much money did you earn so far having one account without using bots?
Also you're suggesting to do not use bots to stay safe, but immediately after you tell that people are using bots to follow other people...
Any consistency? Thoughts?

I have now 1800 followers and i follow around 50-100 people every 2 days.

I will monetize my site with adsense (will need the first 2-3 weeks to fill the site with content and then i will apply for adsense) and affiliate shop links.

If i pin Pictures and Videos from my website to my pinterest account (no affiliate links in the description or the redirect) my account should be fine, right?

I dont use a bot to get followers or post pins, i do all manually (follow 0-50 people a day, post 20 pins and 5 videos).

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Regards

I've followed into 5000 people per account per day fairly regularly, I don't think they ban you for following people (at least right now). I also regularly see people in the 4000-5000 following range in my "news" tab. I posted a thread in this section about how I build my accounts, I've never had one banned. That's not to say I won't ever be banned though. I do keep my accounts segregated to their own private proxies (1:1) which may help. If I do anything manually with them (usually just checking for decent group board invites), its via the same proxy.

I don't know why people are so hung-up on how many pins they make a day or how many people they follow in x time period; meanwhile they have an account named "spammy 5000" with no picture attached, 1 board named "garbage" thats filled with repins from addmefast that point to porn and viagra ads alongside 500 links to your moneysite. Also, who thinks just adding their site url to a totally unrelated pin is going to last for any amount of time or provide any results? "oh look a picture of the grand canyon.. I should check out the link in the discription to 'sxyladyshoes.info' "
