Pinterest Backlinks - a DF method?

Once upon a time in Pinterest you could put links in the description of the product image but that doesn't work these days .... so I am using Comments for inserting links and it accepts the links and the links work .... using browser 'Inspect Element' it shows the links as <a href="domainname/" rel " " target="_blank"> domainname</a> which I believe means it is DF link ... correct or not?

So is this a legit way to get DF links in Pinterest? .... or have I missed something in my interpretation?

I tried sometime to put the hyper link in Pinterest but i can't able to do

click on any Pinterest pin then you will see this page - click on 'comments' and then add your text with naked url

is ******** or no follow?
