Have seen videos on how one can automate publishing pin immediately an article is posted on one's wordpress blog.

My question is, what is the possibility of doing such with RSS feeds? If possible, how does it know which of the image in the feeds should be published.

Do you mean publishing pins automatically based on input from an RSS Feed? If so, then yes it is absolutely possible (I do it).

As for images in the feeds, it depends on what is generating the feed and what images (if any) the generator includes into the feeds it generates. For example, standard Wordpress feeds do not include images. You can tinker with the theme code to add images, or you can download any one of a handful of plugins that'll do that for you. Either way, the image included is typically the feautured image for that post (a feed consists of one or more 'items'...in Wordpress an 'item' is a post from your blog...so images will be specific to individual posts).

Personally I create my own, standalone, RSS feeds. So I control the content and images it contains.
 
If it's a WordPress site, then there are plugins to auto post your images with a link to your article.

I use the RSS feeds I generate in one of two ways; (i) submit the RSS feed directly to Pinterest (you need a Pinterest business account, and need to claim your domain to do this), (ii) I use an intermediary blog, IFTTT to post from the RSS feed to the blog, and then submit the blog RSS feed to Pinterest as in (i).

I used to use IFTTT to take the RSS feed and post to Pinterest, but IFTTT and Pinterest had a bit of a falling out a few months ago and you can't do this now.

I've tried this with several accounts in the past; it doesn't bring in traffic, except to a small degree, and less than with alternative systems anyway.
Also, after a while, in many accounts, it inexplicably stops working and Pinterest no longer pulls.
Honestly I would not invest in the medium-long term.

So if you have - say - 200 Pinterest account, do you create 200 WP websites?
Sounds bad to me.....
 
@geomink - My experience has been a little different to yours. I've been using RSS Feeds, and submitting to Pinterest, for a little over a year now. I also use the usual session-based pinning. Both approaches work i.e. neither results in less traffic than the other method. As for Pinterest not pulling...I've never experienced that happening. I have structured my RSS Feeds as Pinterest-friendly as you possibly can though...so maybe that's the difference.

Regarding blogs...I never said WP websites...but the principle would be the same though. I actually use 3rd party blogs as intermediarys. And yes, a one-to-one relationship between a Pinterest account and the intermediary. I'm not quite sure why this would sound bad to you...but I can tell you from direct exprience that it's all good :)

It's right! If you're using a WordPress website, you could fetch all your boards on your Pinterest account and link them to your WordPress categories. the, you can easily schedule all WP posts to share on Pinterest :)
 
You can use Tailwind to automate Pinterest
