If you are like most people, you probably use Pinterest to find new recipes, style inspiration, or home ideas. What you may not realize is that there’s a lot of science behind the platform. This social media platform is always tweaking its algorithm to show users the best possible content.

When it comes to Pinterest, understanding the algorithm is key to success. The algorithm is the thing that determines what pins are shown in a user’s feed and in search results. It is constantly changing, so it is important to stay up to date on the latest trends. There are a few things that you can do to make sure your pins are being seen by the algorithm.

Use high-quality images and make sure your pins are visually appealing.
Add keywords in your pin descriptions so that your pins come up in search results.
Be active on Pinterest and engage with other users.
The more engagement you have, the more likely you are to show up on someone’s feed. The latest update to the Pinterest algorithm is designed to show users the pins that are more relevant to them. The algorithm looks at a user’s past pins and searches to find similar pins.

What is working for you now?
SEO is working right now. I have tried everything that these so called guru preach here and there (in Pinterest) but nothing worked.
when it comes to Pinterest, people are just repeating 2016 stuff again and again. (Just to increase their post count on forum)

Ok, but Seo is slower when it comes to getting fast results.

I had worked for 4 months on Pinterest, got 50 users monthly. Then I worked on SEO, within four months I started getting 300-400 users daily (9k-12k monthly)

Well, I think your methods are different.
I did nothing special. If you have ability to hunt very low competition keyword by analysing SERPs, you can do better than me because I am too lazy. I used to post on weekly basis. If this process is done daily, one can achieve 30k users within four month. I learnt everything from this forum. I have nothing special.

I would like to add one more thing. I bought the donain, but later I got to know that the domain I was using were being used for 8 years, it got expired.
I bought the domain from Namecheap without knowing the history behind it. It doesn’t have any backlink. But I got one benefit that my site didn’t face any sandbox and my content was indexed pretty fast. As per my experience, the domain age matters!

I think this was significant for you getting traction in a short time.
I think so. If you need fast results, expried domain name with good backlinks profile can work.
But Pinterest is a waste of time, especially for noobs. it has become harder than SEO after 2018 update.
There is something that people who get massive traffic from Pinterest know, but they misguide us by preaching such as “Use HQ images”, “Add relevant Keywords”
Nobody tells the actual secret behind success.
